Im 16. i've wanted my nose fixing since i was probably 11, i hate it, its just makes me miserable throughout my adolescence, because i have been bullied about it. Im seriously considering having rhinoplasty now but im worried about costs, scars, and like the whole never waking up thing.

in the uk u can get it done free on the national health service but u usually only get ur request granted if u had an injury on ur nose or if u have breathing problems like if u have a deviated septum. i had a slight deviated septum but the bump is what bothered me the most and so they corrected both.

There is bound to be some post-operative pain, but this should be well controlled with normal pain medication (ibuprofen/paracetamol/possibl­y codeine). This procedure is expensive if you have to pay for it privately (as most surgical procedures are). It is a fiddly, difficult operation to do, so requires a very skilled surgeon to complete it properly. It also is quite a long procedure - often between 2 and 3 hours - so you're also paying for more surgery time.

its not vain...please...vain is bragging about how good you look not wanting to fix yourself, there is something called bdd, when a person obsesses about the way they look , not because they want to but because there is an actual distortion in how the person perceives themselves, so dont judge before you know the individual case...thats just ignorance...if you want to play the name calling game!!!

i have a big nose and a short upper lip (when relaxed there is a big gap between my lips and my teeth are showing)

if i make my nose smaller will it lower my upper lip to make the gap smaller?

and is there any other way to make the space between the nose and upper lip longer (such as stetching it every day or something)?
