Jamey Johnson is definitely better than a lot of the crap coming out of Nashville, but you can't tell me he's not putting forth an image. The hard-living, long haired scruffy tough guy bit has been around since Lynyrd Skynyrd. Jamey and Kid Rock are the best Nashville has to offer now, because they are out of ideas.

But taking into account Jamey Johnson was a marine, worked years in construction, had wife divorce him, had alcohol problems, got himself together, was struggling songwriter, all kinda leans in the direction that this is not quite a "bit". Maybe, just maybe, his songwriting success has allowed him to be who he wants to be. BTW - I am def. not a typical country fan. Not even close.
