These include: (1) a woman is raped, (2) if the woman is mentally ill (as in having moderate to severe depression, bipolar, etc) and cannot take care of herself (thus, not being able to properly care for her baby or the possibility that the mother might harm the baby after it is born),

You raise very interesting points. Let's expound on them for a bit, just for the sake of debate. On your rape case scenario. You do realize that very few rapes result in pregnancies. Rape is not about sex. Rape is violence, and in cases where the woman is impregnated, the shock to her body is typically so great that the body auto-aborts the baby. Rape pregnancies are very rare. But even still, is it right to kill the baby in that instance? The child is a victim, too.

Yes, but for those rapes where pregnancy *does* occur - I believe the woman should have a very *real* and *legal* right to an abortion. (And yes, I do realize that rape is not about sex - it is something committed against the woman's want and/or will.)
