Je vois avec grand plaisir que vous revisitez mes créations !

Le succès de cette vidéo tient bien sûr à la merveilleuse mudique de Marcel BRUCH et non Edouard LALO comme indiqué précédemment !

mais aussi aux superbes photos d'un ami "toujours sur les routes", féru de découvertes qui me prête ses photos sans condition !!

J'ai éprouvé un immense plaisir à "organiser" ce voyage !

Any how I agree with your opinion concerning the "interprètes" Concerto n°1 SOL m Opus 26 Soloist Christian FERRAS Orchestre Philharmonia,: conductor Walther Süsskind (the same as for LALO) Sorry for my delay and MANY THANKS Béatrice

I know a smattering of French only and am not certain what has been commented already, but I don't see that anyone has mentioned this work is not by Lalo but by Bruch. It is his Violin Concerto in G minor and a very beautiful interpretation of it too.

I would love to know who is the soloist, which orchestra and conductor? Do you have this info' - would be most grateful if you could provide it. Congrats on an excellent video.

Yes good improvisations and easy on the ear, but I feel it loses some of its sheer poignancy with the orchestration.  I love it best in the hands of a good - has to be top drawer - pianist and cellist [or violinist] with no other accompaniament. Then it REALLY pulls at the chords of your heart and soul and is numbingly breathtaking. I can't find a version on YouTube that measures up. Best one I've heard is Wolf Harden teamed with Takako Nishizaki.
