  • Docfuture- professional bullshit artist.

  • Somebody hold me, I'm scared... (true)

  • it's fake but i just love it -especially the music.

  • hoax of course...the slit-scan stars came from an old ABC (American) "Movie of the Week" title sequence around the early 80s

  • I wanna know what the movie was at the beginning!

  • @srvfan454 Spectreman!

  • Who was the man in the opening titles?

  • Where did you get the music from?

  • gotta love the use of tele text standard graphics that have nothing to do with anything its hard to believe its real but it is!

  • This is clearly fake. It rocks simply too much.

  • wtf

  • I like this on it's own, but you get bonus points for using my edit of an ident at 1:41. Awesome work.

  • for some reason i cant stop watching this random dream like video

  • Hate to say this but this is a hoax, some of the material is from the 2 disc tron dvd and obviously there was no story called shadow of the cybermen.

  • @UndergroundOfFear *oh this isn't for real? wow thanks none of us would have guessed!* :)

  • ???!!!

  • ....To think this would be a Doctor Who intro...

  • This is probably the most random thing I have ever watched - and I've seen Naked Lunch!

  • looks like this was back when special effects were relatively new. they probably made the whole intro out of sample effects

  • So the old style BBC2 would have used an American announcer and cheesy music would they?

Ah, yes, the BBC of the 1980s evidently saw Teletext-quality graphics as suitable for creating the Doctor Who titles.

The BBC Graphics Department must have been on crack that day if they saw random clips suitable for creating the title sequence to one of the BBC's crowning glories!

  • rofl epic xD

  • that is awful

  • what? what is this? i'm so very confused...D:

  • Random butt at the end. :D

  • 1:18-1:30 is Canadian cities traveling east to west.

  • I've watched this five times and I still can't tell how much of it is real, if any.

  • Why this video has a little footage of and japanese show in portuguese?

  • They decided to play some Scott Joplin MIDI to pass the time, lmao...

  • A lot of the CG footage was from demo reels that CG company's where making at the time which means this was basically a placeholder intro that was incomplete by the looks of it.

  • AH AH, so weird and hilarious, my props to docfuture1!

  • I came here expecting an episode out right but I got the middle of some bizarre japanese program with Brazilian dubbing. What the hell?

  • You must have a slow Internet connection, as it took you 26 days to upload this video.

  • The censored shit we get on BBC America is nothing like they play on the continent. Well done DocFuture, for bringing home the Unedited Word.

    You cannot stop the Signal.

  • I guess the CGI looks laughable now, but it seemed groundbreaking when it first aired

  • It looks like a bloody Japanese version! :L

  • which episode is this from??

  • I suppose.

  • backflip into the future

  • @pillowby Well it appears to be a young Richard Griffiths (Harry Potter's foster father from the movies). This is seemingly backed up by the TARDIS Index File page of the Fifth Doctor.

Judging by the conspicuous pixie art (possibly a place holder) and the bad chroma key (yes bad even for the BBC) I'm going to suspect this this was a mockup intro for a screen test.

  • This is the best Max Headroom parody ever.

  • Doc, why you gotta be a busta?!

  • he's my favorite doctor

  • I remember seeing this when I was a kid. You damn youngsters don't know what good tv is, let's bring old stuff back because that's what you want.

  • laughed my ass off - well done

  • Comment removed

  • Is this real? It almost looks like some kind of exaggerated parody of 80's media- meaning it is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME.

  • The Colin Baker years.

  • I was expecting someone in a Max Headroom mask to flash his butt cheeks, but I was pleasantly wrong. Not being a fan, I'd actually watch the show if it was just showing stuff like this.

  • @matman125

    im gay
