everything works great on linux (linux stuff, not wine executed stuff lol). I have Sun VirtualBox running Windows XP and it's so weird but it's faster than the XP install on my other dual-boot hard drive partition! I can do anything with high graphics demand and under virtualisation, nothing fails. So perfect. lol Microsoft should just give up with Windows.
except for directx before 8 and after 9 sadly. I wanting to play older games on new machines find it rather worthless to go with that option, but that is just me. I can see why a linux user might like it to eliminate so many restarts on the actual machine.
I never expected the DX9 support to be that good but that is pretty impressive except for the bits of freezing up or lag. Who knows, maybe in the future we will boot into a small hypervisor and just run virtualized applications and games? Apparently the installation process is easier on linux too with this release which is further good news :)
plz help me

Isn't it better if you use Wine rather VMware for playing games?
Anywho, can you make a tutorial on how to install vmware with UT3?
RomeoneedsaJuliet 2 years ago
True because Wine is not emulation ;)
Wine is a re-programmed win32 api on linux ;)
