@animeizmylife when you are playing in a emulator (PC) you can save the game in the middle of the battle (it's a savestate) and you can do it everytime.
:P My main party consisted of 3 people for these last 2 fights...
Legault (Assassin)
Jaffar (Assassin)
Guy (Swordmaster)
My Eliwood was one shot from dead beacause of the chapter before, so I said f*** it if I'm going to die I my-as-well try, so I hit the dragon (Full health) with Jaffar (Silver sword) and shadow crit his ass for a 1 hit KO. :D I spent like and hour laughing at that.

I accomplished my main goal of beating this game without losing a single character, the only time I lost someone was on this fight, and it was Wil. A Sniper with only A class bow. Oh well. I restarted the fight and completed with everyone alive.

All I did was train those 3, so u could say I had a WEAK army lead by 3 God-like Lords!!! xD
If you cap out Lyndis, Hector, and Eliwood, they can all do damage to the dragon. It's a lot cooler than Hawkeye (the master of loincloths) or Athos beating the dragon. It's way more epic.
I thought the dragon was too easy, I just gave athos elixirs (so the dragon attacked, I healed) and moved everybody else to the top left of the screen. Still very good game.
i remember when I first did this I just let Athos hold about 4 elixirs. I didn't attack and just kept using Elixirs, damaging the dragon when he attacked me. Stood someone behind Athos who was constantly giving him elixirs when he was out!
Sorry, my grammar was horrible there. I meant, why wouldnt you use mend and thus allow pent to heal someone else or attack. I just mean its like wasting pents turn which could otherwise be used some other way instead of having both use heal.
I did the same thing you did totalus95, using Hector and Athos, then having Pent with his Physic staff in the back ground, and Erk using Bolting to kill all the pesky side enemies just for fun, hahaha

Hummm... is very concerning... There are characters who are better for a player and worse for another. Depends on the strategy that each use in their battles!
Damn dragon, always does 37 damage and aims perfect, I wonder why Athos trusted Lyn, Roy & Hector the sacred weapons if they are flies for the dragon (in the battles between them, the dragon attacks 2 times).
The main hero here is Athos, expert on every magic of the game...
you can also take him down with eliwood and lyn, with pent and athos using physic to heal them.. and canas can eclpise the puny caster in the little room

Luna's damage is based solely on the user's Magic stat, and Athos would need to have a Body Ring used on him for him to do 30 x 2 on the Dragon.

True, but luna's base damage would still be better had he used Canas. Even Athos's power from luna would be greater from aureola.
Also if you're feeling ballsy, you can use that long range dark magic attack. I forgot what it's called.. But half HP is good :)

You could do 30 dmg/hit with Luna compared to the Aureola for 20 dmg/hit.
Even then; I don't suggest using Athos for attacking the Fire Dragon.
Use maxed out Hector and Eliwood with Armads and Durandral respectively, and have Athos wield Fortify.
You can finish the Fire Dragon in one round.
Rienfleche and Rex Hasta are both good weapons against the Fire Dragon too.

Id suggest a strategy, max out all the heroes and use the legendary weapons.
Lyn attacks twice but does small damage. Hector also owns the game with Armalds.
Finish off with eliwood's Durandal.
The dragon uses physical attacks and not magic, athos has 20 defense but when maxed out hector, he can be a killing machine

One of my favorite games too :D
I did the same thing you did totalus95, using Hector and Athos, then having Pent with his Physic staff in the back ground, and Erk using Bolting to kill all the pesky side enemies just for fun, hahaha
For some reason the side quest giving me the option to get Canas never showed up for me, I dont know why D:

Awesome Jack, this game rulez a lot!
An interesting fact in this type of game is that you can do many different strategies to defeat the enemies and bosses!

This is my favorite game! My strategy was using Athos and Hector, then after they attacked, to have a party member(Erk and Pent) heal them. Great video!

i make hector realy good and use him against the dragon because its quicker than using athos and its more entertaining.

Hummm... is very concerning... There are characters who are better for a player and worse for another. Depends on the strategy that each use in their battles!

Damn dragon, always does 37 damage and aims perfect, I wonder why Athos trusted Lyn, Roy & Hector the sacred weapons if they are flies for the dragon (in the battles between them, the dragon attacks 2 times).
The main hero here is Athos, expert on every magic of the game...

you can also take him down with eliwood and lyn, with pent and athos using physic to heal them.. and canas can eclpise the puny caster in the little room
