He sounds like his own man now, but there's still a lot of Kurt Rosenwinkel influence evident. He has an interesting technique-- holding the pick with the thumb and middle finger, resting the pinky on the pick guard. Amazing left hand. Sounds great regardless.

It's kind of hard for anyone who has studied jazz guitar over the last 15 years to NOT have some Kurt influence.
