Coldest place on the earth in siberia

    - 71 C

  • imagine what it was like for us KIWIS,hell we couldnt even pee outside as is the custom for us here in NEW ZEALAND and of course AUSSIE

  • Canada and russia are the same albedo moron.. Nwt and siberia are identical all year round

  • omyakon in russia leads the way with minus 72 woooooooo anyways siberia and tundra do meet each other at some place plus good COLD relation between russia and canada so woooooo

  • Who cares what people say about Canada, Edmonton or anywhere else about the cold! Canada was made for the cold, Hockey is our National Sport and I live in Canada. So who cares!

  • Definitely not the coldest place on earth.

  • At least it isn't cold.

  • It takes strong people to live in the cold. And we are a hearty bunch.

    And skidooing rules!!!!!!

  • That's why i live in Texas, USA

  • That's not ture .. the colest palce on earth is Antarctica The temp is below 60

  • @78ahayat Yes it is colder but does anyone live there? No, and that is why.

  • LONG LIVE EDMONTON

  • I am soooooooooooooooooooooo proud of ALberta and to be an Edmontonian!!! Alberta is the only province in all of Canada that is rich enough to be and independent country:)

  • I hope I survive when I go visit my aunt.

  • Calgary sucks, and Edmonton is even more hopeless. The only reason anyone would want to live anywhere in Alberta is because their family/friends are all here or the person grew up here and has some attachments. For no other reason should anyone suffer through the horrible winters and short uneventful summers without a beach in sight. I'm going back to the westcoast, Rain is no fun (it doesn't even rain all year, wussies) but the amount of stuff you can enjoy and see there far outweighs that.

  • @kbs1212 some people are hungry for cold places and i think they found it in Canada

  • @zylestyn I am a better person in cold climates and I would LOVE to be in Canada.

  • probably some shithead from calgary posted this, like they have better weather than the true capital city of EDMONTON , at least we dont have to keep our winter tires on 10 mos out of the year like cowtown , or rain 12 mos out of the year like vancouver. BEST CITY IN THE BEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD , BAR NONE. EDMONTON.

  • Deadmonton is such a shithole.

  • It's common knowledge that if one visits Edmonton in January,it will be cold freezing.January is actually the coldest month in the winter.

  • @nostalgiamelancolia1 Hey It gets very hot in summer , about +37 On one day , thats highier than L.A And Arizona on average

  • I'd like to Bitchslap the retards that first settled in this place. They must have done it in summer and were already building shit when winter came because any dipshit with half a brain wouldve said fuck this and left. I don't know why I live like a fuckin Eskimo. I should move to SoCal.

  • Winter of '09 here it got down to -70'C including wind chill one day. The only place colder that day was somewhere in Siberia. However, it's summer here right now and I am enjoying a +25'C day under the sun.

  • @Faustaao Does it get cold close to that each winter or was 09 just one of those things??

  • @888duane

Definitely one of those things, haha. It gets cold here, especially in January, but almost never THAT cold.

  • @Faustaao I was in Toronto once where it got down to -52. It never gets that cold there, but i still remember it. Hey thx for getting back to me.

  • @Faustaao No remember in 08 or 09 When we hit -61 IT was the second clodest place on Earth , next to siberia at -64, But don't think it's that cold here it does get to +39 on soom summer days we live in a weird place

  • edmonton has the highest crime rate compare to other places in canada. how do i know...coz i'm one of them. hohoho!

  • I like it when you throw hot coffee out the window of your car and it freezes in the air and falls to the ground as ice. Thats when you know its f*#$ing cold!

  • wow! -42

  • Uhm... Edmonton is nowhere near the coldest place in the world. It's only on average a few degrees colder than Chicago, which is where I live.

  • @richig761 but you dont get half the snow

  • @showstopas I mean, you guys get 49 inches, as opposed to our 39. Yes, you do see more snow. It's not like you guys are that much worse than us though. The only reason I commented saying that, was because I see a ton of Canadian's commenting on videos, suggesting that Americans can't handle snow. Chicago and Minneapolis on average both have colder winters than multiple cities in Canada. Chicago also gets the most brutal wind chill factor.

  • @richig761 not to mention winters are much longer in edmonton

  • @showstopas Winters are a tad longer there. Not by THAT much though. It's really more similar than you think. Like I said, Chicago and Minneapolis have it just as bad as most cities in Canada.

  • @richig761 lol averages are just averages...Go to edmonton for a winter and it will be unlike anything you have seen.

  • @showstopas Uhm... Doubtful. Statistics don't lie. I've spent a good deal of time during the winter in a few different parts of Canada. Not in Edmonton, but close enough. It's very similar to what I see every winter/spring.

  • @richig761 I have experienced winter in both countries along the border and honestly it was much worse in canada. so this is personal experience. just where these cities are located geographically is enough to tell how cold they are... no cold ever compared to the one experienced in nunavut though.

  • @showstopas Being farther away from the equator does not necessarily mean it's colder. Chicago is colder than many Canadian cities due to it's location, which literally is pushed out onto Lake Michigan. Which causes severely cold wind, and severe cold fronts that come down through the lake. I realize a lot of places in Canada get worse winters. I'm not disputing that. However, for the majority... There's no real difference.

  • im moving to edmonton... coming all the way from england!

  • OK...ive lived in Edmonton my whole life but omg! i cant stand the cold anymore lol. I love my city but not at -40C lol

  • OK im sorry but I've lived in Edmonton my whole life and omg! I can't stand the cold anymore lol. I love my city but not at -40C. blah lol

  • <3 i love loving in Edmonton

  • We are so bad ass LOL

  • Edmonton In London Is Worse.

  • Man I'm surprised how many people just can't handle the elements... It's all in the way you dress and prepare, I've been in -58 C without the windchill and I had no problems taking photos and going about what I was doing.. I agree with AMonsterUnderTheBed, Canadians are a strong and hardy people who have to endure some of the harshest conditions on the planet, so if you're a pussy, then stay the fawk out...

  • come up in the summer...it's absolutely beautiful. warm to hot weather beautiful river valley with tons of parks, trails and golf courses, and wicked thunderstorms!! :-p

  • Edmonton, the litter capital of the world !!! I f you come here please bring your own garbage bag.

  • i think people in yellowknife and yukon would disagree

  • O_O holy f*kin shit thats f*kin cooold

  • I remember those days. After a week of that, anything above -10 felt warm.

  • @ditachan Yeah sadly lol and for americans thas there coldest winter LOL

  • ohhh come on... it's like that for like a day and everybody says it's the coldest place on earth. lol. come on it's like that all over northern Canada. btw...Northern Ontario guy here. its like that for few days here, few days there aronud here. WE'RE CANADIANS!!! we should be use to this man...lol

  • I remember those few days. I worked for 10 hours outside as a gas jockey. I couldn't feel past my forearms, but i was paid triple and got loads of tips. :D

  • toronto , mtl , van - city are fucking live ....there is something diff to do everyday

  • Naw, us Albertans are proud of the cold weather! It makes us tough!

  • @LondonUnderground186ur a shithole bet u never been there ur to lazy to get off ur fat ass and see

  • @BlackOpsAFG thats why its called deadmonton Cashberta.............people are there just to workkk if you want to do sumtin fun goo to Toronto and Monteral .... i been there best 2 cities in canada

  • @KrayzieB0ne3 Yeah were theirs a bunch of crazy third world,i heard Montreal's has the highest gang violence also.

  • Fk. I hate how ppl say Edmonton is dead. People who say that are too lazy to actually find out what's going on in the city.

  • Edmonton is the shit hole of Canada

  • @LondonUnderground186 Fuck you, you just can't stand the cold u pussy.

  • @MKDude600 with such a reply like this, I'm not surprised you're Edmontonian...

  • @MKDude600 and for your information, I don't mind the cold when the city is pretty. Edmonton is everything but pretty

  • @LondonUnderground186 yeah right man go down to the river valley in the summer it's very nice. Much more so than the boring concrete downtown of a place like Toronto, where the waterfront is just basically grass with litter on it and a sidewalk for the majority of its length... Edmonton apparantly, I read this, more park area, based on the size of the city, than anywhere else in North America. There are nice ones. Lots of ravines you can walk or bike through.

  • edmonton is not even that cold, maybe cause i live here hahaha. i remember one day it was -40

  • in toronto ontario, we call that the deep freeze

  • I live in Finland right now and I have for almost 3 years. It can get realllllly cold here too, but we've had some really warm days lately. Before I moved to Finland I lived in both NYC and New Jersey and I thought THAT was cold...that's almost like spring for me now! HA, it's actually around 0 today and I was fine in a t-shirt and tank top(:

  • Only real men can handle this place, I live here.

Thumbs up if you are a real man!

  • @CrazyGlove Real men? I was born in Africa and even there we don't mess with the heat. No wonder why white folks die with heat stroke..loool.

  • @CrazyGlove I live there too!

  • @CrazyGlove I must be a real man.

  • i remember it was -63 with windchill a few years back in edmonton that was a rough 12hrs of work esp when my t\delivery trucks heater didnt work

  • All you bonehead brain dead global climate change mornons...how is that bullshit global warming doing for ya in Edmonton

  • @alfredjacob50 HOW IS SUCKING ON MY LIGHTLY SALTED ORANGE?

  • @CrazyGlove you are a crazy glove...crazy salted wacko

  • I really doubt Americans can take this weather. It is chilly in the US i agree, the wind is very violent but in Canada it is waaaaay colder. It gets to -30 to -35 sometimes and all kids still have to go to school.

I remember in elementary everybody had to go outside in -20 weather. It was still great. Really fun to play in the snow since its all piled up into a bank of 4feet.

Tell your American buddies that. :)

  • @KaoriProductionz we have some cousins from florida who get used to the cold pretty fast, although they only like to come over if they are sick ;D

  • shouldn't Siberia or Russia be colder than Alberta, Canada?

  • @cinemascene There was one day last year where it was colder then Siberia.

  • @cinemascene

most days it is, quite a few days it does get colder here though

  • I hate this weather. Someone should buy my house so I can move somewhere milder. Please.

  • I remember that day. I love living in Edmonton... And hate it at the same time.

  • It doesn't actually feel cold if you live there.

  • haha I'd like to say it is to make everyone think all the people here are tough, but it's not, not by a looong shot.

  • . . . and they say global warming is a bad thing?!? LOL

  • Hahaha, I'm from Edmonton and I find when I go to other places and it's cold out, I deliberately act like I'm not cold at all. JUST so I can say "well, where I'm from it can get below -40!"

  • Bullshit, the coldest permanently inhabited place in the world is Oymyakon in Russia(big suprise ay), −67.7 °C (−90 °F)...While coldest place in the world is the Vostok station at Antarctica almost -90°C (-128°F or sumthing).

  • I remeber that weather. Now i live in B.C So no more of that. I remeber it being -40 and i was walking home and got locked out of my house for little while. i was 6 years old lol :P

  • Gosh, i never knew that it was so cold there, guess i woudnt be needing a fridge? lol, thanks for uploading ill be moving to Edmonton early this year, I'm sooo excited! hope to make new friends up there!

  • lol um edmonton is not the coldest place on earth you door nob aka ice land south pole and north pole and i live in edmonton and its not even cold here

  • ahhh memories of Edmonton, Toronto seems like Miami in comparison

  • I remember that day...I was working a 10 hour day outside...yay! I still don't understand why the first settlers stayed here.

  • ughhhh cold

  • The winter of 2000/2001 was pretty damn cold, I remember walking to the bar with a friend down jasper ave to the old Lush niteclub. I was only wearing jeans, damn near froze my feet off! lol

  • edmonton isnt the coldest place on earth it was just the coldest place that day and haha i remember that day man it was so cold the snow in my backyard was like 5ft tall lol

  • @UberTacoNoob ha ha i would of made tunnels through it to the side walk ha ha

  • Comment removed

  • i dont care how cold it is, what matters is the fact that calgary got snow in august! XD

  • If you think Edmonton is cold you stupid dumbasses I dare you to come here in the middle of the summer. IT"S HOT! I hope you pass out you dumbshits

  • lol i live there....i never noticed that its so cold here...i guess im just used to it since i have lived in edmonton my whole life....

  • @Koolkid736 Me too! ;)

  • hahaha this is the true definition of the great white north

  • pfft. edmonton's not the coldest place on earth. i've lived here most of my life and mostly just gone out in sweaters during the winter. in response to mrkaistr, im not going to agree with the fact that canadians are weak, because i dont believe thats true, but i would agree with the russia statement. was there last winter. Now THATS cold.

  • Thats nothhing, canadians are weak, try living in Russia.

  • im from new york and the coldest weather ive experinced that i could remember is 18 degrees and i say thats about - 7 celcius i dont know i just a guess oh well i cant wait for winter theres actually gonna be something too do...

  • It's in Celcious not in Farinhiet. So 0'C=32'F. If you do the math you wil know it,s much worker then what they get in the Fargo or Miniapoles.

  • @alialialis40 It doesn't say anywhere that it's in Celsius.

  • Okay, bitches, I love Edmonton, this was just some really bad weather we had, and you fucking Americans think it is always -43 up here, fucking stupid Americans, so fuck off and be dipshits like the ones you are. Dumbass like 3 below me thinks stupid people live here, hey fag, you ever been here, no cause your too poor Yo afford it, you fucking gay homosexual fuck!

  • @CrazyGlove you said it.

  • Why do all of you naysayers make it sound like we are the only major city that gets this cold? what about freekstorm calgary? toentialdownpourvancouver? or toronto withit's snowstorms so bad they have to call in the army, why do you think we are so healthy here in Edmonton. The best city in the best country in the world as our mayor Bill Smith used to say!!!

  • I bet you don't have many Mexicans living there?

  • @sonofmabarker no in Canada we don't have a lot of mexicans. we got a shit ton of indians though!

  • only 3.8% of the population.

  • @GrilledAngus WTF

  • Canada has 304,245 Latin American/Hispanic residents. About 0.97% of the population.

  • @sonofmabarker OMG God is weeping right not

  • yea i always said the dumbest people on earth are in edmonton at least siberians are smart enough move to moscow or china and not live in the anus of the earth!!!

  • This is how Alberta keeps the weak people out.

  • @AMonsterUndertheBed hahaha love it.

  • @AMonsterUndertheBed you can have that suckers!

  • I live in Edmonton, it was so cold I had to skip 2 days of school, and a cheerleading practice (i walk to school)

  • it's really hot in the shit city right now

  • @TlGBC It seems like you are leaving a comment under a couple of videos related to Edmonton calling it 'shit city'.

I hope you don't mean it.

Everyone has a different opinion on places they live in, but there is no perfect place to live in this world anyway.

  • @Sarah01181225 excuse me but i dont like you naming my city for which i have lived in half of my life a shit city. the correct nickname, i have given, along with which my friends use is "the shit city." its "the shit" city. its a simple nickname. it is my true home, and its my dream in live to move back here and go to university in it (i am visiting right now.) i live in a shitty small town in nova scotia now. it felt like prison being there a year now. but, again, it is a 2 year old nickname.

  • @TlGBC Well, that's your own fault for not getting out of your basement. Any place is boring if you are.

  • actually they really meant, it was the coldest place on earth that day thank you very much. I'm from edmonton, and its not that bad like -20 to -15 is the average, but we do get below -30 trust me... but I love Canada : ) our summer's are hot, so I'm okay !

  • USA is a great place, as long as you never get sick, and you have to sell everything you own to pay for it.....

  • @aspleyhigh at least canada is better

  • @aspleyhigh or you can just get health insurance

  • @aspleyhigh i used to live in the usa, and i moved to edmonton. i never got sick from the cold in the winter time in edmonton.

  • who gives a fuck about canada really usa is way better

  • @dATfAKA81G Your watching the vid. And you should be thankful for Canada. You know why Canadians hate Americans? Google NAFTA. Whenever I seen an american on the street, I kick the shit out of them to make them leave.

  • @dATfAKA81G lol clearly you give a fuck if you came on here.

  • I grew up there and I have to say that it isn't much colder than where I live now in the winters. In fact, Québec is worse because of all the humidity, it feels much colder than Edmonton did. I love Canada!!!!

  • Because Edmonton is a so boring place that they needed to catch people's eyes about that! Poor world!

  • @LondonUnderground186 what are you talking about? edmonton is a lot of fun.

  • haha, Yes Edmonton is cold. I was seriously shocked to "feel" this cold in Edmonton as I thought Canadian winter is like that of Toronto only. But clear sky with sunshine during winter time makes me endure the cold.

Sometimes the degree is minus 50 but I love being here.

  • I remember thisday Mom wouldnt let us go to school.

  • The coldest place on Earth is Vostok, Antarctica (-89 degrees Celsius record). The coldest permanently inhabited place on Earth is Oymyakon, Russia.

  • meh... you come to Edmonton let alone Alberta you better be ready for the weather. 14 years and I can say I have seen some unpredictable weather in that time.

  • What it's June how can it be cold

  • @nige231 ....

  • oh its canada alright!

  • where can I find good quality kush in E-town?

  • i thought stanley idaho was the coldest place.

  • The coldest place on earth is Vostok,Antarctica. Check it out.

  • I don't like Edmonton weather....

  • northwest territories is way colder

  • Today, May 4th, 2010. We just had a bizzard... FML

  • @Hippy10000 Hey im new to Edmonton - know where a guy can get some good kush?

  • LOL i love edmonton but god the winters fucking suck tho

  • @bizzakfulify I was so pissed when i got some snow like 2 weeks ago lol fucking snowing in spring lol
