Winter of '09 here it got down to -70'C including wind chill one day. The only place colder that day was somewhere in Siberia. However, it's summer here right now and I am enjoying a +25'C day under the sun.

Edmonton apparantly, I read this, more park area, based on the size of the city, than anywhere else in North America. There are nice ones. Lots of ravines you can walk or bike through.

I grew up there and I have to say that it isn't much colder than where I live now in the winters. In fact, Québec is worse because of all the humidity, it feels much colder than Edmonton did. I love Canada!!!!

haha, Yes Edmonton is cold. I was seriously shocked to "feel" this cold in Edmonton as I thought Canadian winter is like that of Toronto only. But clear sky with sunshine during winter time makes me endure the cold.
Sometimes the degree is minus 50 but I love being here.
