  • whres the video of this bad boy running?

  • The only problem I have w/ RS machine pistons is the fact that they are CAST and not FORGED !!!!

  • love the black valve cover too, everyone does red , it's nice to see a black one

  • @TrackSpeedRacing2008

what are the best all motor B20 pistons and can the stock rods handle a 75-100 shot of NOS, I want at least 225-230 whp and 155-160 tq, but want to have a hit of NOS in case im getting beat I can whack the bottle and walk by them :-) what are the strongest & lightest rods as well or is that a waste of $ on all motor, I want to rev 9k too!!

  • wow. how much did it cost 2 get that average hp & shit torque figures? my mums VW polo has more torque than that. dont mean 2 be a bitch but i just dont get it. my 1-3.5i would smash the granny outa that.

  • a bay worthy of consuming edibles off of

  • @Marshmallowrex

not every1 wants his ''motor'' damaged noob

  • I'm thinking about getting a b20b and making it high compression with a b18 head the only problem I know of so far is a pcv valve?? but is there anything I should know about before taking the project and fucking it up??

  • what crank and rods were used?

  • @tongtyyang the original one's?! :-D Do you think in it are one of those eased??

  • headers leakin bro

  • AMAzing that people see how much work and money it takes to make only 240 horsepower...yet the ricers still think its better

  • and it runs high 13's hahaha

  • Will u leave the cam gears exposed?

  • what did this cost to do?

  • this is just beautiful, looks factory, sounds factory..scary thought for street racers who wouldnt know better

  • sexville. Clean as eff too.

  • good numbers

  • One of the cleanest motors ive seen in a while good job

  • Sounds like a diesel.

  • Comment removed

  • y does it idle high,is it cold

  • yes. yes. yes. i know. i know. i know. you have a VTEC and it idles. HAHHAHA

  • vtec kicked in yo

  • looks good man don't let the kids upset you alot goes into a build I have a few under my belt and I still don't have it to a science yet. BUT VALVE LASH BRO!

  • you've got a crazy valve tap.

  • Why did I just watch your motor idle for 1:11?

  • thx for saving me a minute of time =-=

  • two words

    valve lash!!!

  • i have ctr b16 from jp fully built can i use the b16 head for the b20v ??

  • yeah you just need to run an oil line like an ls/vtec

  • why are there welds on the intake manifold

  • because is custom .

  • @michael9196 custom in what way

  • in what way ? look at it . isnt the factory one . so its custom made for that motor or maybe aftermarket .

  • it could be an itr manifold or it can be a skunk2 manifold too. my question is why are there weld marks on it did they open it up so they can port inside the manifold or what there is a reason for them to do that i been seeing that alot at the race track and im just wondering why they do that

  • ported like a motha!

  • Clean bay

  • What's with all the noise? IT's clattering pretty bad!

  • Believe it or not. Internal combustion engines actually have little explosions happening in them!

  • It's the valve lash, pretty common in over head cam engines.

  • @fpsraab

Maybe a little exessive? I've heard plenty of OHC and DOHC engines that don;t sound like a diesel or somethign is wrong.

  • @filthydirtyhooker

I had a huge oil leak the other day and that's what my car sounded like. I guess it's normal in this case, though.

  • any 1 hateing stfu and dont watch these vids,,power to weight ratio is all that matters not 4 cylinder or 8 cylinder,,this is a fast engine right here na power

  • V-TEC YO!

  • All that work and only 160 foot pounds to the wheels? lol THERE"S NO REPLACEMENT FOR DISPLACEMENT!!!

  • There is....

    Turbo!! =P

  • Except for like, RPM, forced induction and gearing.

  • Put nitrous a turbo or a supercharger on a 4 cylinder and then put nitrous a turbo or supercharger on a v8 and tell me who puts down better numbers on the track and the dyno!

  • Dyno, v8. Track, either.

  • @1qwkgoat Yea a v8 will make more power, but the honda will probably get better times lol, power to weight ratio, use your head kiddo.

  • yeah. its called boost.

You dont need much torque when your car weighs 1900 pounds

  • 1qwkgoat:

LOL. Honda motors aren't designed for low-end torque like a V8, they are meant for high-rpm HP and 9-10K red-lines. That in combination with wide powerbands, long geared trannies, AND weighing 1700 lbs it makes for a pretty quick car.

Now, if by "track" you ONLY meant drag-strip, then you're a moron for comparing FWD to RWD. Not to mention drag racing is for egotistical douches.

V8's are like tampons.....every pussy needs one.

  • You don't have to get all v-tech on me. "Driving a fast import is like coming out of the closet, you might surprise some people, but in the end you are still gay."

  • Muscle cars and lifted trucks = Pen1s compensation.

  • Your on here dissing "muscle cars" and "drag racing"? Are you human, or american? Also who the hell hell brought up lifted trucks? I didn't. Im not in to lifted trucks, i just have enough common sense to know that 8 cylinders are better than 4.

  • @OneHandHigh wow that could not be put any better awesome!!!!!!

  • how much did this build run u?????????

  • how do you guys like the blox cams? luv my skunks

  • thats a tiny radiator. i hope u dont live in a hot climate

  • Size has nothing to do with how well a radiator cools...

  • indeed u are correct it duz not C=

  • i dont care how well it cools . It can only do it so fast . I would think the coolant capacity of this radiator would make it very inefficient. for iny size engine

  • looks like a nice clean setup.. keep it up

  • electrical tape works magic

  • Ok.....let's see what it can do now.

  • shit face

  • Looks very nice, but 1:11 is a little long if all you're gonna do is let it idle man...

  • @RaceVideoKid watch the rest of his vids if you want to see it driving.

  • where did you get the 12:1 comp. ratio pistons at?

  • cleann!!

  • you can hear the valves closing hard though.

  • i got a gsr head on my b20 with a hondata ecu

  • nice setup!

  • motor is in excellent shape i like how it runs.. the hard works pays off

  • hey have you dyno this motor yet, if so what did it put down?

  • 235whp & 159wtq tuned on 91 octane pump gas. SAE corrected on DynoJet.

  • What all do you have done to it like what valve train are you running and pistons let me know because were building a B20 all motor and it should be putting out around 240 to 250

  • @TrackSpeedRacing2008 what cams and do you have a valvetrain? just built a b20b 11-1 85mm with stock rods/ arp headbolts and was wondering what should i do to the head....

  • @TrackSpeedRacing2008

That is insane power for an engine that small! 235whp means atleast 260bhp.

  • can anyone tell me what a b20 will do if you put it in a hatch.... somedoby told me the b20 fits but the oil pan hits the pavement on bumps

  • Well they lied unless they slammed it to the max, B-series is B-series, so stuff like oil pan is identical from B engine to B engine

  • deck hight is taller, if anything they should have trouble closing the hood lol. but no normally they fit fine in every way.

  • Beautiful looking Machine

  • Nice..

  • You guys sound retarted...so what, the GSR head makes like .2 higher compression...who cares. Ur making it sound like its so hard to use a GSR head on a B20 block...all u gotta do is know what in the hell ur doin! So this dude isnt crazy...you're just weak and dumb.hahaha

  • built b20b/z block:

if you run a b16a/b18c5 head your straight.. if you run a gsr head your crazy!

  • lol it just means your crazy because gsr head has a greater compression ratio but its just a joke. most people run b16a head but if you want to run a gsr head you get more compression just as long as you check the clearances before you put the head on.

  • why is that.. ??

  • b18c5 is gsr.....

  • LOL where the hell you get your information from? b18c5 is the USDM version Integra Type R.. JDM b18c can be either a GSR or an ITR. Only way to tell is by looking at the valve cover, the header, and the manifold. Please dont try and correct me when you dont know what the fuck your talking about..

  • Yup, my jdm gsr is a b18c, and my old usdm gsr was a b18c1. usdm type R is b18c5.

  • hey mne nice proyect love it

  • Comment removed

  • what kind of pull start do you run for that little ass 4 cylynder briggs and straton? haha

  • lol goof

  • oh btw its settin in a 93 EG hatch lol, figured i should mention that

  • just another slow ass honda...lol jk, i have a B18 that has a few grand in the motor, skunk2 stage 2 cams, DC header, that same AEM intake, skunk2 adjustable cam gears, eagle H beam connecting rods, JE pistons runnin 12:1 compression, stainless steel valves, runnin with a B16 head, stage 5 clutch with lightened flywheel, type-R suspension with GSR brakes and a custom 2 1/2 inch exhaust, all that runnin off a hondata S200 lol, now im done :P ill try to these vids up, tell me what ya think

  • isnt a stage 5 clutch a little much for sucha lightly built motor

  • yea, i dont have it anymore, i sold it to my friend and got my money back out of it. i didnt build the car, it came with the stage 5, its ridiculously grabby, wouldnt recommend it driving it through town. i just decided to keep the EVO, check out my vids, i have 2 of them up racing a WRX, and more coming soon

  • nice 12:1 comp b20 on p72 head

  • Thanks for all the info. What would be your price for balancing a b20 crankshaft? Whats your opinion on knife edging? If I ever get enough money, I'll take it to you guys.

  • What type of sleeves are you running?

  • stock sleeves. thanks

  • Wow stock sleeves? Probably close to 280 crank hp? That made my day. What type of crank and rods are you running? I'm thinking about building my b20vtec. That is a gsr head right?

  • My bad it says it is a gsr head in the description.

  • Stock B20 crank balanced, stock rods with upgraded ARP Rod bolts. GSR ported/polished head.

  • that is one clean b20 swap in a fricken crx

  • Thanks for the positive comments! New suspension setup will be installed this Thursday. Will test to see how it runs in the 1/4 with slicks on Friday. Videos will be posted. :)

  • Damn that shit is bad ass.. ARe there any dynos on this set up?

  • Thanks man. This setup made 234whp & 159wtq SAE corrected on a DynoJet. No track times yet but aiming for mid 11's down the 1/4 mile.

  • Dude i got a RPM service 70mm throttlebody that wont help on my friends B16a2, the mechanic before was just a put this put that type of guy, so things didnt match, now i got to dispose the 70mm throttlebody, i got the ITR 64-65 mm throttle body, and 310cc accel injectors, got cTR pistons, stage 2 comp cams, and retainers, springs, etc. and i chrome tuned it. what should i do with the throttlebody(70mm)?

  • That 70mm throttle body is too big for the setup you listed. I would either sell it, or keep it in case your friend decides to go with a 2.0+ liter setup in the near future. The ITR throttle body will work great with the current setup. Good luck.

  • Thanks track, i really appreciate you helping a fellow tuner. Your a good samaritan. God bless

  • im thinking about getting a street sweeper header. They are for 2.0 honda motors and ive heard good things. Im hoping to gain 10-15 horse over my jg 4-2-1 header. but have you seen any dyno charts on these things? thanks

  • my friend has one on his B20 and there was a 5whp loss from the street sweeper.

  • What header was your friend using prior to installing the street sweeper? Where was the car tuned?

  • nvm! that header was made for a B20 14:5:1 comp. and it was on an 11:5:1 B20 with a smaller build. so the bends were to long and the piping was incorrect for the build. but i just purchased one for my Gsr/B16 lol. got myself a 85mm bore GSR on the way! just a fricken 14week wait on golden eagle resleeve!

  • You will pick up some gains throughout the entire rpm range. I would consider getting the street sweeper SSR header if your budget allows. Good luck.

  • it allows me. my friend is sellin me it off his 2.0 type r motor. 800 bucks. its only 3 months old. so his loss my gain. ive never heard of anyone losing power with this header. I know it ment for 2.0's mostly. thanks for the input man.

  • you can get just as much power from a ported itr IM.

  • yeah but not as much torque

  • Hey you got a crazy set up "I like".....I got an ls/vtec ls bottom end gsr head with a type-r tranny im going to do sleeves on the bottom end (all motor)just wondering twm itb worth it? please reply..

  • TWM ITB's are good but it really depends on what your goal is? Are you going to do drag? autocross? What kind of pistons? Compression? etc.

  • im getting some money soon so i realy want a fast car that with some maintanence i can depend on everyday.....THANX for the replay....

  • i also heard..ITB are nototriously hard to tune properly...correct me if im wrong

  • 12:1...do u need to run race gas

  • i'm running a mildly built b20.vtec right now.. i want to rebuild with high comp looking for around 230whp. right now running 180whp. whats a good set-up!! detailed parts list send to mee

  • read the video description, it doesn't get much more detailed than that.

  • actually, i just realized that there is something that isn't stated in the parts list. what crank are you running. i'm in the process of sourcing some good stuff for a B20VTEC swap, myself. i read in another video that its using stock rods, but are you running a stock crank too? if so, i hope its balanced. let me know, because i saw the "1st-2nd gear" vid, and this thing sounds nasty. good work ;)

  • Thanks man! The headers are made by ProFab which you can pick up for around $450.00. The intake manifold is a blox racing piece cut open/ported and rewelded back together. Im running a P72 GSR B18C1 head ported/polished.

  • all motor is way to go! aem fuel rail...i like...dc headers? skunk 2 intake? clean. i should post my b20 up. what head are you using? b16 or 18c?

  • im about to do the same set up what kind of headers are those and what year model car do they come out of?

  • Sounds perfect!

  • good :)

  • what does b20 engine come out off?

  • B20 is a Cr-v jeep engine lol Sick :P i got the same project on my car but... :P

  • hey i have a coupe civic sunroof and everthing and i have 193 hp and 144 torque but is too heavy how many hp do you think im going to gain if put this motor in crx and how hard is to put it i know i have to change the motor mounts what else thanks man nice crx and good numbers too

  • That looks so clean, unlike many other civics, but I guess that's why it's called new.

    Nice work man.

  • Thanks man. Dyno tuned the motor on Thursday 02/07/2008 and the results were: 231whp & 154wtq. Tuned on 91 octane. We're happy with the overall results. 89 Honda CRX DX with full interior. A little lightening and some slicks should go anywhere from 11.50 to 11.90 in the 1/4 mile. At least thats what were hoping for. :)

  • I'd say pretty good numbers, don't know too much yet about the mods and all, but it sounds good. And 11.5 would be amazing I think. Can't wait for the track videos.
