  • The only active arguments on this video is whackitov and leighmo26 lawl.

  • fake and gay

  • any mineral water?

  • Does anyone know what kind of crab that is at 4:24 ? I love it!

  • @UntrustworthyRainbow I can't remember it's name but I remember reading that it has the most complex eyesight of any creature on earth. It can see from infrared to ultraviolet.

  • this video is horse shit!!

  • @monster661000 Go back to your call of duty kid, we don't want to catch your stupid.

  • It interested about crab

    It colorful.

  • in the past 2 decades humans have increased atmospheric co2 by more than 30%

30% sounds a REAL big number doesnt it?

consider this, the current percentage of co2 in the atmosphere as a whole is 0.038%

thats just less than 4 hundredths of a percent....400ths of a percent? so a 30% increase is a MINISCULE number!

30% is roughly an increase of 3 THOUSANDTHS of a percent, in 20 years of heavy industrialisation.......sheesh! somehow i fail to be afraid :/

  • @whackitov It may seem small but the effects are quite large. Read into it...

  • @leighmo26 yes, ive read into that side of the story, i also read into the other side of the same story, for instance the botanical science part that says as co2 levels rise, vegetation grows faster and thicker until the natural balance is restored.....during the 1800's using scientifically accepted equipment with an error margin of less than 3% measurements of over 400 parts per million were taken, also during the 1950's......where was the disaster then?? where were the rising sea levels??

  • @whackitov The science since the 1800's has been dramatically improved, using it quantitatively is fine but not qualitatively. The problem comes when sea level rises faster than our ability to defend against it. The thing about global warming is that what happens now will affect rising temperatures for years, there is a real delay. And sure, global warming is a natural process, but that's not what we're talking about. Anthropogenic global warming is causing the problems, why not try to slow it?

  • @leighmo26 have a word with king canute will you?? sheesh, do you honestly believe that man has the power to halt ANYTHING the earth decides to do?.....get a grip! really!

there is NOTHING we can do that the natural cycle cannot.

take a walk to the beach, have an actual look at how high the tides go, they are unchanged here and im in a place that has one of the highest tidal ranges on the planet.

by all means give them your money, watch them waste it on zero results, if you really are that dense

  • @whackitov What are you talking about? We have already affected the natural cycle. Progress into fixing the problem is hindered by people like you with no background in climate research. Oh, sorry! You went and had a look at the beach. Tidal range has nothing to do with mean sea level... Only 3% of the scientific community are still unsure if humans have had anything to do with global warming, and just like you said, 3% isn't very much. Have a read of the IPCC's 4th assessment report will you?

  • @leighmo26 i dont need a background in climate research to use common sense and simple logic....so rising sea levels dont mean higher tides?? how does that compute in your quasi-scientific logic?? yes, ive looked at the data, yes ive looked at both sides of the picture, yes i care about the planet we live on, yes im concerned about REAL environmental issues....the ipcc is composed of roughly 2000 people, half of which are not even climate scientists themselves, 35000 scientists disagree withthem

  • @whackitov So no credible sources? Well you see the observed sea level is made up of the tidal level, surge level and mean sea level, basic oceanography science. Also, your common sense does not seem so common, especially in the scientific community, where people study and do research to better our society, providing us with their results so that we may use it constructively, not criticise without any thought or foundation for rebuke.

  • @leighmo26 ok, so the rising level is construed of the tidal level, surge level, and mean sea level.....yet the tide has not risen where i am, the tide is STILL where it was at 20 years ago.....how do i know this? i fish the sea from the coast, i watch tide levels because it indicates the best time to catch, the tides are no larger than any other time, spring tide is still at 11.5 meters, exactly where it was when i began fishing..this is my data, this is my study of actual FACTS observed by me

  • @whackitov Tidal level is not affected by climate change, it is mainly affected by the moon and sun. Mean sea level is affected by climate change and it is rising. It may be hard to notice at a place where the tidal range is so large, considering that a tide only reaches it peak every 18.6 years. The fact you are trying to get across is that you haven't noticed an effect, fair enough, but that isn't very rock solid evidence disproving sea level rise let alone global warming.

  • @leighmo26 we just had the coldest summer since records began.....global warming is responsible for global cooling? and a rising sea level does not affect tide level?? if there is more water there HAS to be a higher tide, mean level rises therefore tide MUST change also....unless you are trying to tell me that no matter how much water the sea contains the tide remains constant, at which point id advise you to lay off the mushrooms.

  • @whackitov Look mate, your arguing against proven science here. The tide is how high the tide moves up and down, that doesn't change because the moon and sun aren't going anywhere. Also, climate change happens over years, you can't take one year and extrapolate to get a trend. Wikipedia has a rather good page on 'current sea level rise', but I suppose the immense amount of data presented there is no match for your observational skills.

  • @leighmo26 please do not quote me wikipedia as a source of scientific data! the science is FAR from proven, the ipcc would like everyone to believe that it is infact a proven case, but it is not.

when i talk about tide, i talk about maximum level and minimum level, not the movement of the water, maximum level has not changed in 20 years, nor has the minimum, it has remained the same, if there is more water, there must also be a higher maximum. very.simple.science.

  • @whackitov Wikipedia summarises and references all of the information it presents. I grew tired of doing that myself so I pointed you in the right direction. Basically this argument comes down to one thing. Years worth of scientific recording and research, and what you saw at the beach, both present competing theories. We both seem to think one is much more reliable on a global scale, and there's no convincing either of us otherwise. Shall we just leave it at that? Agree to disagree?

  • @leighmo26 my part of the argument comes down the the vast amount of data discarded and disregarded by keeling and callendar, if it didnt fit the desired outcome, it was discarded. science can not ever be done accurately by discarding scientific data that does not fit the agenda.....but agree to disagree we shall. however should you choose to look deeper into the science then i can recommend ww .freerepublic. com /focus /f-bloggers /1806245 /posts

  • in a nutshell, the ipcc are a group of politicians attempting to push a manmade global warming agenda, based upon desire to introduce a new form of taxation, that is IT! period, fullstop. think about it, you pay tax for stability, do they provide it? no they dont

, they squander it having a party whilst congratulating themselves on duping the gullible

  • @whackitov I see I cannot convince you otherwise. However, I am curious. Please, enlighten me, point me to a recent publication that provides credible proof that climate-change has not been accelerated due to human-activity. I have been researching rising sea-levels for two years now, not just for my own curiosity, but for my job, and I have been unable to come across any such peer-reviewed studies. I'm sure it will be an interesting read.

  • -its fun how the says "several million years" and then the graph only shows the last 400 000 yrs, therefore i conclude that its been the highest amount in the lst 400 000 yrs and not millions

  • OMG WE SCREWED!!! every one run!!!!

  • because at the underwater......are soo dark to move n hard to communicate....they communicate trough colour at their body....

  • i would like tofind out why creatures in the dark waters are always so colourfull and beautifull designed.

    isnt that wierd?

  • Not really true...The deeper you go the less color you will get. Creatures from the deepest pits of the sea are mostly transparent, albino white, or black. Most sea life at that depth are basically blind or literally have no eyes so color is not relevant..You see all the most beautiful and colorful fish in the first 40feet of water.

  • yes they are mostly transparent arent they , i seem to forget .

still a lot of them need to surface to feed .

    like the red devil squid

it lives on 2300 feet of depth and has eyes , i dot know if they are blind ,but they do have blue or albino looking eyes and are bright red and life in the deep sea.

    .

but i guess your right , most are transparent , seems like sunlight is needed to produce colours ,even for fish .

    cheers

  • yes, we are a carbon-based system; other planets may have "other-based" systems

  • Thank you NASA, I am sorry we live in a world, where people believe they need to destroy everything they lay their hands too.

  • why is everyone making dumb comments and ruining nasa s vid? u guys are scaring the intellectuals away. i feel frightened. i am leaving.

  • habahaba

  • Father Nature and Mother Nature had t3h babiez.

  • Controlling Nature,Mother, Father or Baby... Are You Mental?

Earth and Nature Have Done Fine For Billions Of Years By Themselves...

And We Are Here For A couple Of Hundred Years And You Think We Should Try Change Nature To Be More Comfortable While We Spend Maybe Another 1000 Years Here...

    Sorry You Are Not Mental.

    Your One Mighty Goose!

Perhaps Suiting Yourself To Natures Ways Would Be Both Easier And More Beneficial To You And Nature.

We Are One With The World And All Its Inhabitants

  • Dazisforeal - we are at one with nature are you crazy?

Look at the amazon rain forests! It's like saying to George bush ' it's ok to massacre thousands in the twin towers and in in the middle east cuz both of us r human so we are at one with the world and it's inhabitants

  • yeah whatever happened to father nature...and baby nature

  • Aw, you know. He got custody, Mother naturea a working girl *snap, snap, snap*

  • LOL... Wait that's not funny. Are you calling mother nature a slut?

  • Oh hell no!!, No. She's just a CEO of earth, while the hubby's a stay at home dad. *grinning, as storm clouds dissipate, and cracks in earth meld together*

  • lol...are you high on air?

  • Nope, just my normal self, scary ain't it?

  • im in the uk nobhead

  • Well now I know why you hate NASA,Your Jealous.

  • how did you know? you know all my secrets

  • Whatever happened to father nature?

  • lmao. This video had me kinda down, but this comment cheered me up.

  • The science that is done in space is equally important to the science done on earth because if we get a deeper knowledge about how other planets, moons work we get a deeper knowledge about how the Earth came to be the way it is and how we potationally could change the earth to the way we want it to be.

Many chemical elements was belived to ONLY act as they do on earth until we have seen them on other moons/planets and such discoveries can be used to improve the earth.

    //Karl

  • why would we wnat to control mother nature? its like a child telling the mother how to behave

  • "why would we want to control mother nature?"

It isn's so much controlling her, as making up for punching her in the face hard for the past 200 years... and jumping up and down on her head for a little longer.

It is about becoming a responsible and sentient agent in the eco system.

  • the earth repairs itself. global warming is it due to pollution? no. the earth warms up itself. al gore is a con. the earth is self sufficient. its humans who rip up the earth's system like cutting down rainforests, extracting oil in the artic and amazon

  • yes carbon is an inhibition to dissipation, but minuscule compared to water vapor even at heightened levels.

Carbon displacement, not as much from fossil fuel but devastation of ecosystems is why we have elevated levels, and does not explain warming.

Energy use and natural energy handling systems (devastated ecosystems) is the disease... carbon is the symptom.

Also urban sprawl and solar irradiation, pumping more energy into the atmosphere.

cumulative affects of too much wasted energy.

  • Es impresionante como partículas tan pequeñas como el carbono pueden dañar todo el medio ambiente...
