Even if they did show up drunk it shouldn't change the fact that they are still people like you and me and people struggle with different things. One drinking, one homosexuality, one smoking, and so on. If you call yourself a Christan then you should support them and encourage them to stay on the narrow path and not disregard them and pin a label on them like fake. And another thing i'm sure their music isn't for them anyways so their songs saying how he needs God, replace the he with yourself.

I don't know if this band shows up drunk to shows or not. People can write anything they want on a youtube comment. I do know that they write music that points to a relationship with God and the human struggle of waging war against the flesh. Let's remember that along with the admonition to not be drunk, Scripture also warns us not to gossip.

Of course. But the mainland preachings of Christianity today(Whether Catholic,Protestant,LDS,Quacke­r, or Jehovah's Witnesses) is that Alcohol is bad for you, both physically and spiritually. Furthermore, I was making more reference towards being drunk. "Do not be deceived: no sexually immoral people, idolaters [nor] drunkards will inherit Gods kingdom (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)." Ephesians 5:18, "And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Holy Spirit."

Christians don't drink alchohol? Really? Where is that in Scripture? Scripture recognizes that alchohol is a gift from God (Psalm 104:15) and it's use *in moderation* is not condemned (1 Tim 5:23; Titus 2:3). Drunkeness is warned against however (Eph 5:18) Blanket statements like yours are not theologically sound.

@TheJosephPrice actually theyre not a christian band....never have been...they themselves ARE christians, but they dont actually tie that in with their music, Paul has said that himself during an interview....and they do drink, well a couple members i know do anyway but ive never actually seen Paul or Aaron drink

"Whine" at the time of Christ could have been anything from grap juice to actual whine and is really hard to say for sure being the Catholic's did a real number on the Bible(Making edits to entire books, throwing books out,etc).

But it is a known and common fact, Christ did not want his followers sitting around drinking Jack and Jager and getting hammered everyday.

That was and is My point. I've studied every major religion there is, they're all distorted to an extent.

There is literally over 60 more instances where it is mentioned in both the Old and New Testaments. Try looking a little harder next time.
