Why would you throw away a TV? If it is broken, you could sell it as parts. If it doesn't get a digital signal, sell it to an American or the Japanese (along with a converter for the wall outlet and the TV signal to NTSC). If it is because you bought a flat panel, shame on you, because flat panels are shitty.
its was probably broken and shipping would cost a lot, and its not worth for the $3 worth of copper... its just easier to throw away. And flatscreens are amazing
Flat screens suck ass. CRTs kick the ass of flat screens. CRTs can surpass 120Hz, LCD and plasma cannot. CRTs also give you much better colours and black levels. Flat panels give you washed-up colours and gray instead of black. And HD CRTs are fucking amazing.
Yeah, we had a really cool trashman for a while. He used to let me save stuffed animals and other toys but the guy who replaced him was pretty mean. He is the one who took all my stuffed animals, dumped the daycares diapers on them then made me watch as he squished them all into diaper-goo.
When I was little our trashman took me for a ride to the dump and that was probably the most fun I had as a kid...
We had shupak manual side-loaders until I got a little older and we got Garwood rear-loaders (showing my age now..LOL) and I love being around them. The Shupak was cool because he let me ride in th step on the other side from where he loaded so I could save stuff before it got squished. I had so many stuffed animals and dolls at one point it was amazing!
Cool! I want to go to the dump! We have McNeilus Standard Realloaders. I remember the day I saw them pack our hottub cover! He had to run the pack cycle 9 Times! Our trashmen take anything. (Dont park your car near the trash can) LOL. Our neighbor once put out a 15' tree with about 1.5" trunk. It went right into the truck!
I remember last year a family moved to the UK from a house near me and they threw just about the entire house into the trash out in the alley. They had twin 2yo girls, a 7yo boy and a 16yo daughter so they had a lot of stuff!
It took almost an hour to munch it all up and I watched every second of it. Unfortunately I did not have my camera with me, that would have been epic!
I guess they did not have time to sell it or something because there was a lot of good stuff that I am sure people would have bought. Dressers, couches, tables, mattresses then came the toys. I love toys, especially stuffed animals but I was on foot so I could only carry a few. I asked the trashman if I could put some of the stuff aside and come back for it later but he would not let me. I watched everything from the baby-cribs, Diaper Champ's to over 40 stuffed animals and dolls get crushed.:(
I'm guessing you're meaning a 1.5' not a 1.5" trunk diameter on a 15' long tree. If you do mean a 1.5" diameter, that is no big deal. On the other hand, if you mean a 1.5' diameter trunk, it would give it some trouble.

Yeah, my trashman let me ride on the truck, work the packer, and throw in trash! And he still does!
