briliant wowowowowowowowo. That is empressive for 11 years old. cHOPIN. tHIS KID NEEDS TO SEE HOW RUBERNSTEIN PLAYS THE PIANO AND WHE HE DOES HE NEEDS TO IMPROVE ON HIS TEQNIQUE AND EXPRESSION. BUT THAT IS VERY GOOD
@koBaVeHko But see--a grown man lives half a life and goes thru a few sorrowful episodes or relationships that he can step in and out into those emotions to superimpose them into Chopin's masterpieces. Meanwhile a kid eats ice cream and has problems in math class and is nowhere near feeling the type of emotions needed to play Chopin...so if you want emotion, stick to adults playing these gems, not kids.
I thought Michael did a decent recital for his age ;)
bravo michael sos talentoso, dulce e interpretas este estudio como un maestro incluyendo las septimas que no se como las ejecutas con tus pequeñas manitos.
@MusicGolod, Hours of practice, its what Johann Sebastian Bach's father said to him =)
My piano teacher died.. Im 12, and I think I have no hope.. but I must keep going on at art, instrument, and many of my talent, and I will give they all back to God, because He gave me all of this.. I wrote so many poems, and paited so many picture, and know how to play some many instrument, without anyone told me how to play
Of course it was really good! And the reason is because he "slaved" over a piano, with or without the insistence of his parents. Do you not think it was worth it?
He handles the first melody expertly--a lot of poetry in that right hand. Many turn this part into mechanical boredom, but he really has a gift for interpretation here. Unfortunately, the central idea gets a little sloppy. The section with the seventh chords was plodding and on unsure footing, and I think half a measure was omitted in the rush to escape. . . . The quiet return of the main melody was expertly handled.
This had me until the central idea comes in. The first part is amazing. Typically, it comes off as mechanical and plodding in the wrong hands, but this kid is a poet with the right hand here. Unfortunately, the central section with the seventh chords is a tad "thick" and lacks certainty, and I think half a measure was omitted in the rush to escape. . . . The quiet return of the main melody was expertly handled, though.
wow, this is amazing. Well done man, you 100% at this stage have it going for you, just keep walking this path and your there! again, well done, this is brilliant playing
I cannot believe how terrific this is. The melody sings, and I have played this piece so I know how hard it is to accomplish that. I never could! The technical middle part is so well done, I am amazed. I simply don't believe you're 11. Bravo. You are a prodigy. All the best on your assured musical career.
The kid is absolutely amazing. I have my doubts about his teachers, This isn't a piece for someone his age, there are wonderful chopin pieces like the impromptus and some Preludes that would have served him better than this etude. Besides I think Michael has seen too many pianists and is copying face expressions, arms movements, postures. With his natural amazing talent, there is no need for that.Hopefully he leaves America and goes to Europe when he turns 16 and finds a good, eminent teacher.
Why should it matter what song he plays? What, you don't like it? I don't see the logic in that. I think he did marvelous. This is a gorgeous song. I can't believe you aren't moved at all by it. Man.
If a kid wants to play a song, no matter what it is, then by all means, he should.
He's in Ottawa. Most young kids in the Kiwanis stuff seem to enjoy what they play, and he plays this one pretty convincingly. Why not challenge young students when they're capable?
It is really amazing for a young man like you understanding this music and be able to play it. I wish you much succes for the future. What teacher do you have, must be a very good one.
thats very impressive but what I think would be more impressive if he played revolutionary etude lol.I like gloom and doom pieces instead like revolutionary etude lol. If he played that fo rhis tallent show then he would be the center of attention lol 2 thumbs up
Awesome musical talent! The piano, the organ, and that beautiful voice!

Nicely done. Can you believe that Chopin originally wrote this to be played Vivace!!! I think that would have been impossible!

Perhaps he had not yet written that furious middle section ... ? I agree, that seems unthinkable.
