@Liam44471 Are you on crack? That ootheca was either African Bush Mantis (sphrodomantis viridis), or Chinese Mantis (tenodera sinensis). African Bush Mantids are classic pets. Not only aren't they endangered, but so far from it they haven't even made "least concern" on the International Union For The Conservation Of Nature's "Endangered Species" list. As for the Chinese Mantis, in some states Home Depot sells their oothecas for use as a biological pest insect deterrant. Neither are "endangered".
