  • hey its a maxima. those VQ engines leak at the valve covers. just one of very few design flaws it has

  • Scotty, when using the dye lite is it a certain amount of time u let the vehicle run to let the dye work it's way through the system?

  • @fivefortyeye540i 5 minutes is fine.

  • Hey scotty can you use that for fuel leaks too ?

  • @benji9669 yep, works great on that too. Scotty

  • Hey Scotty ! I was enjoying my favorite cigar ,and as I was puffing away, it came to me, " I can be my own smoke machine" gotta give this a shot, what do you think????

  • @karlakatie2215 sure, if you can huff and puff enough into small hoses to feed the intake system. Scotty

  • "I was at university" it alway easy to tell a canadian. take care scotty

  • @vaINZANE I'm only an honorary Canadian, I was born in Niagara Falls, New York. A stone's throw away. Scotty

  • you just got love Scotty. The Engines Can take it capn!

  • ARE YOU A STONER??

  • @LightningMAS No, that was thirty five years ago when I was at university. Everyone was a stoner then in the late sixties early seventies. Scotty

  • @scottykilmer lol

  • you need to get rid of that rattling broken pos Hardley gayisdon

  • @LightningMAS Not mine, it's a friend,I borrowed it for the shoot. I own a racing Suzuki. Scotty

  • Where did you buy that long UV light at?

  • @turbobuick33 got it free when I was on TV from UV systems out of toronto. Scotty

  • how do you fix tghe leaks of anykind might charge 5 dollars a know help people out sister had to pay 200 for this

  • gasolene is black with the uv flashlight i bought one yesterday its 300 somethin nm it made my vision better found my brothwers big ac leak.

  • Scotty, I just bought a led UV light on ebay, but not the fancy glasses, do I need them?

  • where can i buy dye-lite for the oil leak??

  • Scotty, I have strong smell inside car, should I go to muffler's to have a test? What kind of test should be done? Thank you.

  • @phoebuspf Depends upon the smell, if it's exhaust, get it fixed quick before you die of carbon monoxide poisoning. Also, check for oil leaks on the engine burning on the exhaust, and fuel leaks at the injectors and fuel lines. Scotty

  • thats your ass, go take a shower nigger

  • Nice review. Easy maintenance. Thanks for the tip!

  • Scotty where did you purchase this particular led uv light? I can't seem to find a place to purchase it.

  • @TranceScene I got it free when I was a TV car talk host. But just google 12 volt UV lights and you'll find tons on the net. Scotty

  • @scottykilmer Scotty, would this light work to detect intake manifold leaks?

  • @blabblab1212 If they are leaking stuff out, yes. If they are vacuum leaks sucking in, then no. scotty

  • @blabblab1212 No, you cannot inject the UV die into your intake, use a sray bottle around the mating surfaces and see where it bubbles.

  • Wooooo maxima!

  • @Fishburn Haha this happens to be the reason i am looking at these vid's, have a 99 maxima i started working on and just looking for tip and tricks right now.

  • @redcorvette762003 97, 200k miles and running strong, although my fuel sensor went out today.

  • @Fishburn Nice tons of life left in it, mine.......mother-in-law has about 179k on it. Has had some money dropped into usless repairs and one bad oil leak. And some blown rear shocks but that won't keep it in the garage.

  • the dye is safe to put on your engine?

  • @nokia26300 Of course, but realize there are different dies for different oils. One for engine oil, one for gasoline leaks, one for radiator leaks, and one for AC leaks. Just purchase the correct dye for your applications. Scotty Kilmer

  • @scottykilmer oh thatks for inyo btw my car have a fluctuating sound when i reving it do you know what causes that sound?

  • @nokia26300 Lots of things can cause noise when revving up, from an internally broken catalytic converter to loose fan belts to low fuel pressure. Scotty Kilmer

  • @scottykilmer the sound looks like the engine cant get a air

  • @nokia26300 Then check the air filter, and check for restrictions in the intake air system, sometimes plastic bags get sucked in. Scotty

  • Thanks for posting this scotty. I would like love for taius20 to find a small leak in an a/c system, pointless...Yeah right._lol

  • Pointless, EH? Guess you never had a hard to find coolant leak, or power steering leak, or AC leak, or transmission leak. Rather than having to clean everything off and look for a hard to find leak, you just use dye and see where the green comes out. Any REAL mechanic would realize the value of this tool Scotty Kilmer

  • HEY, it's about Chainsaws. I'm in Texas, and the movie is The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. One must be fitting with video clips. Scotty

  • Actually it's 'War Of the Worlds'
