  • @BornAgainJeeper Indeedo dorito!

  • Want one

    Sweet tune

  • @casetone2514 Thanks. I'm thinking that it would work well on your folk tune covers

  • very, very cool.

i don't think there are any "original" melodies.

i certainly wouldn't know one if it bit me on the leg!

  • I gotta say, I'm likin' the dulcilele. Mmm droney...

  • Neat-o, Alan. NEAT-o.

    Looking forward to moar.

  • That sounds awesome Alan, and great song! I've always like the idea of the dulcimer, and have had one in my cupboard for years but have never learned to play it because it feels awkward. That one looks so much easier because of the shape. You must have read my mind too about that whole thought about the song being too obvious. I've been thinking of that a lot myself lately. I wonder when I write if maybe I'm subconsciously remembering a song I already know.

  • great sounds alan,

    Ken g

  • Lovely, dreamy sound - goes nicely with the sunshine we have today.

I look forward to you playing more tunes on it.

    All the best, Ian

  • Oh great! Now there's something else I want to have! Four ukes and a dulcimer will have to move over......

  • You've been watching Grumpy and cytrmus haven't you? LOL I almost bought one of these last week!! The ones I saw were a little bit fancier and a little pricey! Wonderful sound!! T:)

  • what a clean, crisp sound she has....me lovey!

  • Sounds great! Must be an original by you, since it doesn't sound familiar to me...and I know a lotta folk songs. :-)

  • That's the coolest!!! great playing !!!

  • So THAT'S what a ukulele/dulcimer lovechild would look like. Very interesting. And I loved the dolphin's tuners too!

  • that's pretty neat Alan! you could use it to reach items on high shelves if you weren't so damn tall already.

  • @russbuss415 ...said the 5' 10" Asian man...

  • @UKISOCIETY have you been measuring me in my sleep again? well at least you're gentle.

  • @russbuss415 Asian-American. Sry!

  • i sooooo want want one if those

that sounds coool and looks better than a strumstick

  • That sounds lovely, but it looks so fragile. I don't think I could ever handle an instrument like that safely.

  • That actually sounds really cool. Very creative.

  • sounded great - yet another weapon in your arsenal.

  • Looks like an interesting first instrument for your boy!

  • That sounded great. Dulcimer is pretty easy to make sound very dull, but you rocked it here, sir, even with the tiny song.

  • @BenTheWriter You're right about being an easy inst. to make dull. That's part of the fun challenge. Thanks, Ben!

  • Very cool!

  • Looks like one more thing to make out of a tourist uke -- looks fun

  • I thoroughly enjoyed this. Very nice, good sir!

  • incredible instrument, it sounds great! and so lovely Uke too...

    You are lucky! ;°)

  • Very nice indeed- and glad to see you havnt given up the uke lol

  • Very interesting hybrid!! nice playing

  • Very interesting hybrid....mmmm

  • That is a wonderful sounding instrument, Alan.

  • Weird. It posted my comment three times.

  • @uke5417 I did the same thing yesterday, but 5 times. YT is messing around with their format again.

  • Pinocchio: Oh, look! My nose! What's happened?

Blue Fairy: That's not your nose, Pinocchio; that's a dulcilele.

    Pinocchio: No lie? Pretty cool.

  • wow, that is so hip.

  • That's awesome Alan, did you make it yourself? What tuning do you use? The sound reminds me of a sitar. I was thinking my first pineapple sopranino should be a 3 stringer but was wondering if I should tune c,e,a or g,c,e? Hmm.

  • @ahnkochee Jay (tinyguitars) assembled it. He makes some very interesting instruments. It's D-A-d tuning, just like a 3 string dulcimer. the frets are laid out like a dulcimer too - can't play every note in the scale!

  • i recognize the tune. i wrote it tomorrow

  • I want one!
