  • The JT who beat evander holyfield or john ruiz would've battered the shit out of tyson LIGHTS OUT BABY FUCK YEAHHHHHHHHHHH!

  • a tyson ul never be... one knock down solid highlite. not xxx

  • damn toney was in shape in his day, instead of being shapely now

  • could'a been great

  • I think now his fat ass should hang up the gloves he is going to have brain damage he already talks retarted if his corner cares about him they would ask him to stop

  • @Moonmanwalker I'm almost positive you have brain damage after reading your comment. Very "retarted" bro...

  • I live in Wales. Joe Calzaghe is considered the GOAT here!

  • I thought the guy at 0:56 was Rmapge Jackson and got so excited to see that fight

  • he is super technical, is great to see his techniques and the way he moves.

  • this foo knows how to fight

  • if JT would have kept himself focused and disciplined he would be the greatest fighter of all time, bar none. even so, he managed to be a legendary defensive fighter and a probably the best counter puncher i've ever seen. pure talent, that man.

  • It's very interesting the fact that no matter how much weight Toney puts on, he still manages to be superslick. He's truly amazing.

  • @oreokid666 LMAO u mad bitch boy? hahah

lets see boxing is dead...High number of weight divisions,Televised mismatches,Top fighters avoiding each other to protect record,Fighters showing up out of shape, especially heavyweights,Alphabet soup governing bodies

BE realistic u stupid fuck why dont u actually look up the decline in boxing haha its so evident. and i been watching james toney since he was a MW bitch boy LMAO ur a fuckin idiot. get more mad bitch boy its hillarious.

    ,

  • So what you think about this kid, how´s his boxing?

old trainer looks at the guy calmly and with a smile says:

    "Sweet as sugar"

  • @oreokid666 its funny how u change ur tone faggot. dont act like ur some1 else read ur above statements. ur a little bitch who talks too much ROFL boxing is part of mma u stupid fuck but boxing in itself is dead. LOL look at the numbers they dont like bitch boy hahaha

  • @oreokid666 and by real men u aint talkin about urself which is hillarious. wow ur a bitch bro haha

  • @oreokid666 haha once again ur talkin bout ur self u stupid fuck. wow arent u a dumb fuck. tell me whats the rating on boxing? • i just came here to say arm triangle defence learn it.

  • @sumoshinobi hahahaha yea u see how easily these mma guys would take out these boxing bitches. pac man said he would never fight an mma fighter because they r too well rounded. TRUTH

  • @kamionkami1 i know but at least pacquiao doesn't talk shit

look i love and respect boxing

    but mma is just better

    bjj ftw

  • I only found out about james toney because of the randy cotoure fight, but after watching so many videos I have to say he is actually one of my favourite boxers. His style is awesome.

  • @SuperiorNizzle peeps need more of open mind like yours....

  • One of the most entertaining fighters EVER.

  • Show the highlight of him getting choked out by randy

  • I think I now understand why Toney's jab seems weak. I think it is because of his stance. He exposes only his left side so the left hand doesnt have a big range of motion to create power.

  • One of the most underrated fighters of all times.

  • James Let's eat Toney

  • Toney doesnt have the best jab and straight right in the world, but in close range he's magnificent. Haven't seen more effortless uppercuts in my life.

  • Wait a second you forgot the highlight where he gets choked out by Randy Couture

  • good in his prime, but roy jones was too smart for toney *

  • Look me up Dallas Gillespie Florida, purse skill from Ann arbor,mi

  • I would kill James toney,in boxing Dallas Gillespie look me up

  • @miamilife30

    fail

  • smooth, smooth fighter, with hard hands. who can ask for more?

  • good vid btw

  • 2:08 does one of the commentators say 'mickey rourke left" to the head? i know mick was a boxer but did he have a signature punch?

  • @BIGBROTHERXXII He says Mickey Ward, the guy The Fighter is about, famous for his head-body-head combo

  • he thinks he's better than he is

  • @TheAwesomeGerman1 you're a Nazi Canadian so you are excused for your ignorance, whos better than him? he has 73 wins 44 knock outs with decision losses by only 4 different people, he's held titles in middle weight, super middle weight, cruiser weight, light heavy weight and heavy weight, he's won numerous fighter of the year awards

  • @TheAwesomeGerman1 No man,he IS as good as he thinks he is,did you watch this video?are you blind??

  • Nah mate Tommy Hearns is in that list.

  • this isnt much of a highlight reel

  • This guy is elusive....I'd say he's trickier than Ali

  • I respect his as a boxer and personally 1 of my favorites, but fact of the matter is UFC won as the bigger sport and better fighters....

  • @eddiereyes1988 So wrong, kid! Sugar Ray Robinson will kill Anderson Silva!

  • @Beatbyawhiteboy Yea in the ring not the cage....why do u think the original UFC started to show what style works best.. and guess what.. Boxing NEVER won

  • Standing in front of Toney is a way to NOT have a good night.....lol

    Love that line

  • James Toney is one of the best defensive fighters of this era. No wonder why Mr.Couture turned down $1million to fight him in the ring

  • The thing i love about Toney is he NEVER holds the opponent!!pure skill..

  • slips punches in his sleep

  • He is ridiculously good

  • THE THING I LOVE ABOUT TONEY IS HE NEVER EVER GRABS HOLD OF THE OPPONENT EVER,PURE SKILL.....

  • Am i the only one that thinks that james toney is exactly like a fatter, older version of floyd mayweather. they even have the same fighting style lol.

  • @koolaslife and they both come from Michigan,my 2 fave fighters of all time,Toney and Mayweather..

  • @cazz3000 pacquiaos amateur style? HE HIR HIMSELF IN THE FACE. HOW DO YOU DO THAT

  • @trukk08 haha i wasnt actually aware of that

i'll have to check that out

  • james toney is a hall of fame fighter, obviously not as good as he talks and he would get killed by anyone with speed and ability to throw alot of punches. but his defense and skill is the best in boxing history

  • Thumbs up if your going to watch the James Toney, Ken Shamrock fight.

  • That shoulder roll is insane.

  • @dipajero Hagler had best style? :D C'mon dude hagler was swinging wild punches and got outboxed by old washed up ray leonard. Toneys style was better because he can do it all not only defence. 99% trainers and experts consider James Toney to be the greatest super middleweight who ever lived

  • @dipajero disagree...majorly

best of all time = S.R Robinson

best style(?) = umm, i suppose most younger fans would say Pacquiao

best offense = Henry Armstrong, Joe Calzaghe, Roberto Duran

best defense = Willie Pep, Pernell Whitaker

best WTF(?) = Archie Moore (fought til he was nearly 50!)

best comeback artist = Nigel Benn! this man was the KING of comebacks...i lost count of the amount of times he got hurt in a fight, then knocked his opponent out in the next round!

  • @cazz3000 lol Joe Calzaghe!! WHAT!!!!

  • @MrKushez 1696 punches thrown in 1 round?

sounds like good offense to me

i do hope you werent getting muddled up with best offensive power...that would be a tad silly wouldnt it?

  • @cazz3000 no, lol doesnt matter, i mean offencive fight, i mean a man who fights off the front foot, the fact that the king of Slaps is on your top 3 offence and Tommy Hearns isnt is retarded

  • @MrKushez fair enough

you're very biased and mis-informed, but fair enough

  • @cazz3000 how is that Biased, your biased if you put Calzaghe as among the three best offensive fighters of all time, compared to fighters like Dempsy, Foreman, Baer, Hagler, Hearns, Joe Lous (i would have him as num 1) , Trinidad, or even Sonny Liston.

  • @MrKushez Joe Louis was certainly a very precise counter striker, who managed to balance it out with controlled and well timed aggression...but to have him ahead of people like Henry Armstrong, Roberto Duran and even fighters like Julio Cesar Chavez, for me personally, is completely absurd

  • @cazz3000 Lol what about Calzaghe? Joe Louis is considered by many to be the very best puncher of all time, thats as a puncher, i would have him as the best offensive fighter because he simply demolished opponants with his punching power and he basically never stopped punching, personally i would have him as number 1 because thats what i would call offense, he demolished opponants and Calzaghe doesnt come close to anybody on that list in terms of greatness or offense.

  • @MrKushez meh, believe what you want

clearly offense has a different meaning depending on who is analysing

for me it consists of the ability to launch a sustained attack and to maintain that pace for the entire duration of the fight

but if you define offense as simply just pure power and the ability to land hard punches, then yes you would have to include Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano, Marvin Hagler, Jimmy Wilde etc

  • @cazz3000 I see it as the ability to controll the fight with offense, through Punching or aggression or however, to stay on the attack and win fights as a result

  • @MrKushez cool, fairly similiar to me then

so, you wouldnt define Calzaghes' style as being quite fitting to your criteria then?

the guy never backpeddled against any opponent, always was throwing punches, had a very high ratio in terms of significant punches thrown to significant punches landed...just lacked the natural power thats all

am not trying to convert you into a Calzaghe fan by any means, i just think he deserves the credit for how he fought

  • @cazz3000 lol ok thats fair

  • @MrKushez

hearns had so much of an advantage of almost all of his opponents , toney schools almost everybody he fights

  • @M055B0RG i was comparing Hearns to Calzaghe as an offensive fighter,

  • @MrKushez

oh , calzaghe still got great offensive (despite his punches)

  • @cazz3000 Mentioning Joe Calzaghe in a paragraph of names along side Pep, Whitaker, Armstrong, Robinson, Moore, Duran etc is borderline sacrilegious

  • @huthut91 read the conversation i had with the previous fella about this, i am not in the mood to write it all out again

  • @cazz3000 ONLY someone from the UK would acknowledge Calzaghe as one of the best offensive fighters in history...

  • @Gooseman2k2 only someone from North America and/or a die hard Hopkins/RJJ fan WOULDNT acknowledge him as one =]

  • @cazz3000 Even wierder... If your a big Hopkins fan... your probably not a big RJJ fan... and vice versa!

Everyone who counted the rounds/knockdown in Calzaghe Hopkins knows Hopkins won! Calzaghe will go down in history as one of the most inflated champions EVER! Hes a good fighter... Maybe borderline great (but we will never know!) but certainly not a Legend like RJJ/Hopkins/Toney!!!

  • @cazz3000..joe calzaghe doesnt deserve to be on that list at all, his offense is good thats about it..hes a good fighter but he doesnt deserve to be on best offense list, what about sergio martinez, pacquiao, s.s. mosely, mike tyson, tommy hearns; their offenses are all better than calzaghe's.. n floyd mayweather jr. should be on the best defense list

  • @cazz3000 you know your stuff, i completely forgot about old hurricane hank thnx for that imma go check out some vids of him, i disagree about calzaghe though.

  • @fedorgspsilvamma Homicide Hank was the shit, a close second behind Mr Walker Smith himself

i have no objection to people disagreeing with me about Calzaghe, so thank you for at least having the decency to address me with a coherent response man

  • @cazz3000 Best style = Ricardo Lopez; Like your choice of Duran for offense; Best defense, agreed. Benitez is a good one to add.

  • @Beatbyawhiteboy Nicolino Locche is probably another fella who deserves a mention in the defensive catagory, his reflexes were ridiculous, despite the fact he lacked athleticism and didnt really possess any natural power-punching ability

  • @cazz3000 who is S.R robinson? what does the S.R. stand for so i can look him up

  • @bananers114 that would be the one and only Walker Smith...otherwise known as Sugar Ray Robinson

the greatest welterweight AND middleweight of all time, his legacy is unrivalled

    watch?v=SzAj3DAeGcg

    enjoy, sir

  • @bananers114 that would be the one and only Walker Smith...otherwise known as Sugar Ray Robinson

the greatest welterweight AND middleweight of all time, his legacy is unrivalled

    watch?v=SzAj3DAeGcg

    enjoy, sir

  • @bananers114 Sugar Ray.......how old r u??

  • @cazz3000 i think mayweather can be thrown in there also for best defense

  • @cazz3000 LOL at best offense: where's Joe Louis, where's Thomas Hearns, where's he and that and who so on

Best style definitely goes to SRR

I agree with you on best defense though

  • he definitely has a knack for striking at awkward angles within a very short range. dude can take a punch too.

  • /watch?v=SgUsN0NPu4Q The book of James Toney

  • No wonder he had trouble making weight, looks huge.

  • and holyfield was NOT better than tyson in his PRIME NO FUCKING WAY!! tyson in his prime was when he was backed by CUS D'AMATO and he would have smashed evander or any other heavyweight he was so vicious and his reflexes were off the chain, HOLYFIELD VS TYSON PRIME VS PRIME? holyfield would need jesus in the ring to save him from getting knocked out

  • actually the only reason tyson started losing was cuz he fired his trainer and because the death of cus d amato and he also had problems breathing thats why he used his power to ko guys quickly

  • So beautiful.

  • @reno573 Tyson vs Toney

Tyson is an in-fighter so as Toney, Tyson is faster stronger, and more elusive than toney. Tyson punches in combos which means it will be hard to counter for toney. A counter puncher will have a hard time if punches come in 3s and 4s. Toney punches with his arms, Tyson punches with his whole body.

Tyson will be the winner in my opinion

  • @rocknroll4eva100 What kinda stupid fuckin question is that??? Toney is a natural 160-168 pounder... Tyson is a natural 215... Toney is a legend at 160-168 and a fatass at 200... Tyson is a Legend at heavyweight! Toney is a better fighter P4P... but its no fuckin contest! Prime Tyson takes Toney in 1!

  • @Gooseman2k2 how the fuck is tyson a natural 215lbs fighter and toney a 160lb fighter??thats the dumbest shit i have ever heard.have u ever even seen toney at 160lbs to make such statements???tysons skills set were way superior to toneys, tyson would destroy toney within seconds.

  • @bigodimples18 watch?v=sGLXZJo8p4Y&feature=related starts at about 3:00... Toneys first fight was at 156.. at about 19 years old... Tyson's first fight was at 214 he was 18 years old... your a dumbass... James Toney beat every and all comers for a LOOOONGGGG time... Tyson dominated for a few years but lost every time he stepped up his competition! for 10 years Toney never fought above 175... and looked a little fat at 175... Tyson never even TRIED to make cruiserweight! Toney has better skills!

  • @Gooseman2k2 toney is a great boxer but pls dont compare him to iron mike not cool seriously

  • @TheDomy24 Once again... Toney's record speaks for itself... Tyson's record speaks for himself... Toney ruled 160-175 for a loooong time.... then moved up and stayed undefeated at cruiserweight...

Tyson ruled at a historically weak period for heavyweights... Toney ruled at a historically strong period of middleweights.

Every real boxing fan knows the difference between an overhyped but still quite good heavyweight champion like tyson... and a gym legend virtuoso like Toney.

  • @Gooseman2k2 hw division was weak?LOL ok ok that is proof u dont know shit about boxing seriously u wanna bet tyson would beat toney?tyson in his prime was 93 94 kilos just as toney was as super cruiserweight, tyson in his prime had style that would beat muhammed ali who even said himself that tyson would beat him,oh saying that division sucked, larry holmes, trevor berbick, michael spinks, james tillis, frank bruno etc its just disrespect to them toney never fought a good boxer and win

  • @TheDomy24 Serious bro??? Larry Holmes/ Trevor Berbick and Mike Spinks are truly great fighters but... Past their prime and in the case of spinks fuckin tiny! Frank bruno certainly not a great and Quick Tillis after his comeback had a few moments... Im surprised u missed Donovan Rudduck... prolly the tuffest 2 fights he won! Perhaps because that was after douglas?

IF you DONT think the late 80's was historically one of the weakest HW divisions ever... can't help you either!

  • @Gooseman2k2 weakest?and HW divison now is better?u had better fighters in 80s holyfield, lewis, tommy morrison, ray mercer even though tyson didnt fought them but HW divison was good but tell me when was HW divison better?in Ali days?u had 3 fighters then LOL so HW divison was good back in 80 tyson was just class above all,he would beat Ali and u wanna tell me holmes was past his prime no he wasnt past his prime and he was a big name, berbick beat ali that says alot, tell me who did toney beat?

  • @TheDomy24 so many things to say... ugh... ok Holyfield just scratched the HW division in the 80's, fighting for like NABO and COntinental titles... Lennox Lewis JUST started his career in the 80's certainly not on the map till the 90's. Tommy Morrison? again NOT on the map in the 80's.... Ray mercer???? NOT ON THE MAP in the 80's... so basically 3/4 were not even fighting 8 rounders in the 80's!

Now on to the MORE Egregious shit!

  • @TheDomy24 OK now... so Berbick and Holmes. Holmes NOT PAST HIS PRIME?>???>?>>?> he had not fought in 2 years... and his last 2 fights were those 2 hard close fights against spinks!

And trevor Berbick beat ali:???? serious? You think Ali was game for that fight? He had Parkinson, Arthritis in both knees weighed in 20 pounds freakin HEAVIER! and he STILL got some rounds! your delusional if u think that was Ali!

  • @TheDomy24 Now.... are you seriously gonna tell me there was 3 good HW's in Ali's time? SERIOUSLY? shall i start a list? Henry Cooper? SONNY LISTON? FLOYD PATTERSON? George Chuvalo??? ERNIE TERREL? JERRY FUCKIN QUARRY? Joe Frazier? George Foreman? Jimmy Ellis? KENNY NORTON??? Earnie SHAVERS? LEON SPINKS? JIMMY YOUNG?

Your the first person in the history of boxing to EVER say Tyson has a more distinguished record than Ali... thats a GIANT EPIC LOL moment!

  • @Gooseman2k2 dude fighters that u numbered are GIANT EPIC LOL moment only frazier foreman and sonny liston leon spinks was a good boxer but dude look on his record 26-17 wtf is that a worth mentioning?i will just tell u just look on the list on top 100 greatest boxers there is no james toney on it and tyson is ranked 59 so wtf are we talking about here

  • @TheDomy24 There are probably 100 lists of top 100 boxers of all time... and james toney is on almost every one... The fact that you think Liston Foreman and Frazier are the only good fighters on that list shows how little you know... Also you have to understand were talking about boxing skills and acomplishments. NOT how famous someone was... IF that was the case Tyson would probably be number 2!

Spinks Won a gold medal at the olympics and comes from a great boxing family!

  • @Gooseman2k2 dude olympic medal doesnt mean shit in pro boxing look on his boxerecord well u said same about tysons competition, tillis was great boxer, marvis frazier too, michael spinks was considered one of the best LHW in history, frank bruno was UK champion, alfonso ratliff was good boxer, tyrell biggs also had olympic medal and won amateur WC so u cant tell hw division sucked that shows how little u know about boxing, plus james toney isnt on any list from ring magazine or any other famous

  • @Gooseman2k2 from big boxing names lol

  • @Gooseman2k2 every good or solid fighter he lost exepction was evander holyfield which he dfeated, but lost to roy jones who was making fun of him, draw with rahman,2 times lost to samuel peter that is just sad and comparing tyson to james toney is very sad toney is a talent its a beauty to watch him but tyson=destroyer, machine and toney=talent and never in shape its just sad to compare but really sad i told u saying that u dont know shit about boxing

  • @TheDomy24 Toney.... 160 pounder... Tyson.... 210+ pounder..... Toney beat guys who beat tyson.... END OF STORY even tho it wouldn't take that much... Roy Jones Jr... Fighter of the decade...

Toney's heavyweight career is but a tertiary career after his first 2 and 160-175 and 180-200...

No one in their right mind believes Toney is a heavyweight

It's like asking Who's better? B-Hop or Wlad Klitschko??? we know klitschko would win... but we KNOW B-Hop is better... end of discussion!

  • @Gooseman2k2 Toney has never beat anyone whos beat tyson you dumb fuck. Tyson would kill toney seriously you think you know loads about boxing you dont know shit. rj destroyed the bum toney nuff said

  • @Jonezaay ever heard of holyfield????????? nuff said

  • @Gooseman2k2 Ah yeah erm how old was holyfield when they first faught ermm 34 in the first fight and 36 in the second fight. How old was holyfield when he faught toney? 41 you stupid fuck

  • @Jonezaay You do realize.... Toney is less than 6 years younger than holyfield right??? about the same age as Tyson 2 i think.

I love the irony of some crazy Mike Tyson fan telling me i don't know shit about boxin lawl! every fighter loses... specially to "fighter of the decade" RJJ!

If you don't think a man who started his career in the 150's and is now over 250 and still able to compete at the top 50 level is a fuckin monster.... i can't help u brother.......

    nuff said?

  • @Gooseman2k2 yeah he lost to samuel the big fat bastard peter twice when he was out of shape you stupid fuck hes a shit bastard who cant talk properly and you just lick his rim nuff said its sad that you idolise such a cunt and fail of a boxer

  • @Gooseman2k2 Freddie Roach coached both of them and he names Toney as the most naturally talented fighter to ever step foot in his gym. As busy as the Wild Card would be, every fighter would stop and gather round to watch Toney lace up and sparr. No question Toney had better skills!

  • @ingrogies1 100% agree! Toney is one of the purest boxing talents of all time! Now I don't think he would beat Mike Tyson... but that's not a fair comparison.

But let's not forget that Roach trained Tyson when he was totally shot! And toney when he was only HALF shot!

  • @ingrogies1 awesome man, toney is the one of the best...toney not scared of shit...true fighter...

  • @Gooseman2k2 I wouldn't say he completely dominated there were a few SD and MD in those years but he was very prolific. Tyson didn't lose when he "stepped up" in competition it was the same competition from the 80's to the 90's.

  • @capablemachine Clown... So I guess you know how to use Boxrec... Watch the two Montell Griffin fights... Watch the Thadzi fight... Toney had two legtitamate loses into 2003. Jones Jr... and an unknown who got ROBBER AGAINST Toney! Every other fight was an easy peasy win for Toney... You don't know wtf you be talkin about brotha!

Tyson's 80's competition is garbage compared to the 90's competition you tronbag!

  • @Gooseman2k2 I have watched those fights because I am a fight fan but Toney had a few close calls. HBO makes mention of this in on of his later championship fights. Tyson wasn't very prolific in the 90's being in jail, then banned and then banned again and most of the fights were farces anyway but his opponents were the same as the other belt holders of the 90's.

  • @capablemachine Tyson only dominated against bad competition... a historical low the late 80's! In the 90's was a boom! Holyfield/Lewis/Ruddock/Bowe... TONNES of elite fighters stormed the division!

The close call is actually what I would call a LOSS for Toney... but due to judge bias... he actually got the win! In general... TOney got robbed 5 times in the 90's... only 3 of those were actual losses... Don't just use second hand info... WATCH the fights!

  • @Gooseman2k2 And they all fought the same ex-champs and contenders from the 80's too. The only ones that actually had legitimate a boxing match and rematch when either was any good was Bowe and Holyfield. Ruddock was only good few a few fights before he was finished he was more of an 80's fighter as well.

  • @bigodimples18

you're fucking retarded. please exit this discussion and learn something about boxing. you are making a fool of yourself. dumbass.

  • @rocknroll4eva100 Tyson is more elusive that Toney? not saying Tyson isn't elusive but think about that for a minute. The deciding factor in the fight would be if toney could take a tyson hit, if he could, and i dont know that he could, he would take tyson to school. If tyson throws combo's, toney would just give him that left shoulder an sway his body, then counter of the last punch. If anything the fact that tyson throws more is better because he would wear himself out.

  • @Detroit6star tysons much too fast for toney. that combined with his power...tyson who destroy him.

  • @UKeShe2

i think it would have been cool to see them meet at light heavy or cruiser. tyson's gone the distance against fighters not as tough or elusive as james toney, and the only really good counterpuncher he fought was holyfield, and we all know how that went. toney schooled evander when they fought, and he made a career out of beating punchers.

i think james would have a very good chance and it would make for an awesome fight.

  • Comment removed

  • @UKeShe2 Are you really that one demensional? toney has built a career on fighting physically superior opponents. Speed and Power alone arent the only deciding factors. Like i said, toney's ability to take a tyson punch when one lands will probably be the most important factor because even though toney is fairly difficult to hit, he can be hit. The question is if gets hit (too much/too hard/too fast/etc) will he buckles? i can't say for sure but i don't think so.

  • @Detroit6star It would be a good fight no doubt, toney would find a way to give tyson trouble. But mike tyson was untouchable before prison, we're not just talking about hand speed but also head movement. He mentally broke down his opponents and often had won fights before the bell even sounded. I am just one of the many people who have watched a lot of boxing and feel that mike tyson in his prime could have knocked out anybody. Its an interesting argument though and I respect your input

  • @damoniegetta

He didn't knock out all his opponents though...

  • i would like boxing fans 2 get invovled in dis convo!!

Tyson vs Toney prime for prime, im not sure!! James aint scared ov nobody and wud counter tyson all nite. However Tyson hits hard and often. I rekon James Toney but im still not sure. how wud u break it down

  • @reno573 Well Toneys prime was when he was a middleweight, but anyway if Toney fought Tyson, then after 3 rounds Tyson would start breaking arms and bitting ears because of inability to touch Toney. Look what Toney did to Holyfield, Holyfield was much better boxer than Tyson

  • no one understands how good he is, he is a natural middleweight and he beasts on top 10 heavys cause he's so good he doesnt train

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @SheffieldUK1984 You are a dildo indeed...Toney owned holyfield who owned Tyson twice....Grow a damn brain

  • @djk28161 AHAH dude I highly doubt it.

  • @djk28161

toney beat holyfield, who was never as good as tyson in his prime. that's like saying danny green would be roy jones in his prime. tyson vs toney as 25 year old fighters, toney dies in the ring.

  • @rddaos 1st. Holyfield was allways better than Tyson. 2nd. If Toney fought Tyson both in their prime, then after 3 rounds Tyson would start breaking arms and biting ears because of inability to touch and hurt Toney. Tyson was a psycho and he is not even in boxings hall of fame because of it

  • @Lights777Out

holyfield was never as good as tyson until after tyson had already gone downhill, but hey we can all dream

  • @reno573 they both great man.

although i can pick out more mistakes in toney than in hopkins.

    i like toney more though.

  • @steeeeker thats interesting im gonna look for that... doesnt matter how much power u gotta hit that target an we all know toney is slick, he'd try an mix it up to try an set up a punch...

  • @steeeeker he'll try an stand with toney til he gets hit then he'll mix it up..i don't think rampage could beat a journeyman boxer in a 8 rd bout...

  • @steeeeker sooo basically what you're saying is 1300 lbs of weight is nothing and he'll be able to shake that off with ease.... even after exerting the energy needed to throw a 1800 lb punch? did i mention counter punches do more damage that normal ones.... and that toney is a counter-puncher...

  • @steeeeker I do... and you dont understand the different levels they are on... rampage in boxing would be a journeyman... toney aint a contender hes a multiple wight division champ. known primarily for his SUPER slick low energy style. Rampage is not elite, Toney is. Yea hes a fat sack of shit... but to fight rampage at 205 hed have to be at least marginally in shape!

  • @steeeeker not gonna lie mate... if rampage doesent try to take toney down.... hell be busted up so bad... hell never be able to use his facial muscles again... even at 45 or so... Toney is a legend... Rampage isint even close to the same level!

  • @steeeeker Rampage is substantially larger than toney... but i doubt theres much difference in power between them... Toney can throw very hard when he needs to. But Rampage DEFINATLEY CANNOT box! In a boxing match... i doubt rampage could land 1-10 on toney!

  • if i where to pick any mma fighter to fight toney STAND UP ONLY rampage would be one of the 3 i would pick. Unfortunately their is 0.00% chance he or anyone else in light heavy or heavy weight would win 0.00% If world class boxers can't touch toney what makes you think rampage or any other mma fighter is going to touch him. and even if they do he will see it coming easily and slip the punches . but I guarantee one punch from toney with any intent on it and it's lights out !

  • Nothing unusual.Just doing his thing

  • When the next generation of MMA fighters; reared in youth with an emphasis on boxing as one of three fundamental styles around which a combat arsenal can be constructed (the other two being wrestling and muay thai) matures, we're going to see the kind of polish and technique in MMA that we've seen at boxing's most elite level. I hope I'm around to witness that because it'll be a sight to behold. Imagine skill like Marco Ruas and Shogun Rua's being the rule and not the exception. CAN'T WAIT!

  • I don't think it coincidence that the greatest fighter in MMA are those with better than average-to-superior boxing ability; e.g., Gegard Moussasi and Anderson Silva. We can even go further back and look at the success of Murillo Bustamante who, though known for his master of BJJ, possesses solid boxing skills he honed as a youth, as well as Marco Ruas; the VERY first prototype of the complete MMA fighter, whose striking skills in general and boxing skill, in particular, were exemplary.

  • If boxing sucks so bad, why are MMA fighters seeking the wisdom and tutelage of ex-boxers and trainers to hone the inferior boxing skills typical of the majority of MMA fighters? Bottom line: MMA is superior to boxing insofar as the latter is limited to the use of the hands; MMA employs all dimensions of fighting. However, to denigrate boxing is to deny the vital importance of skill sets one develops from boxing and boxing training that as a crucial component of the MMA fight game.

  • mma vs boxing debates are getting ANNOYING as FUCK!

  • James good luck on a fight today. Biggest fan from Lithuania :)

  • I'd say Teddy Atlas is a fan also.

    "Oooooooooooohhhh... body shot!"

  • James Toney was the MAN! One of the slickest fighter ever, in my opinion. He could boxe, he could move, he could punch, he could take hard punch, he could do it all.

  • @pedrom41

Didn't do very well in his MMA debut though.

  • @Voxson14 he's a bit too old to be good at MMA when he's been doing pro boxing for 20 years. Guys like radny couture has used 20 years to learn MMA proper. Toney could be succesfull vs other strikers in MMA such as Anderson Silva, Rampage etc. but I bet they don't wanna fight him.

  • @JasonAYork Anderson Silva and Rampage would crush him..badly..one leg kick and he would be done

  • @JasonAYork rampage said he wanna fight toney and that he could ko'd him out
