I was worried aobut hearing a live version of this, because I'm so in love with the original, but they play it really well, and looks great. (the record is the definitive version though, and one of the best recordings I've ever heard in my life)
MARBLES is probably the best Marillion LP ever ! Especially disc one , with "the invisible man" , "genie" , "marbles 3" . And I agrre with kaols72 : OCEAN CLOUD is my favourite song on this LP and it's the best track of the album ... Great atmosphere ... lot of rhythm changes ... great guitar parts : intro , chorus with bottleneck , beautiful arpeggios in the middle of the song ... The band has very welle managed the post Fish period ...
This is my favourite Marillion song. It's both progressive and catchy, and with enough goosebumps moments. It creates pictures in my head... my own, personal video.
It is almost unfair to hear this song live. It must be nearly impossible to do it as well on stage as they did in the studio, with all the production work and perfect timing. But this is still very well performed. Steve Rothery on the guitar impresses me more and more, and the rest of the band are excellent, too.
5:05 gives me goodbumps... H and Rothery are GODS!
Everything about this song is epic and yet so personal and introspective lyrically. I couldn't ask for anything else - this is bliss.

Hogarth is absolutely amazing. Prefer him over Fish and almost every other singer on the planet tbh :) Such feel.
