I'm going to play this with some friends soon! Can't wait, but I just hope that I can play it correctly. I have roleplayed before, but I wouldn't call myself a master at it...
@sboxjunk Not a problem. It's a good little indie game. I also recommend you take a look at my Perfect RPG review, as another example of an indie game worth considering.
That is an odd requirement with all of those dice. It seems strange that a game would put such an obstacle in the path of players. I've been gaming for 30+ years and have a rather large dice collection. And I couldn't play that game. Maybe the author has shares in a d6 company...
It's a good setting, despite the sometimes cumbersome rules. There is a nice little quickset of rules in the book that you can refer to, should you need it.
My dreams are similarly vivid, and often involve zombies. There are always fully-fleshed characters and locations in them too, and I can often describe them in great detail afterwards.
As I sleep nude, I will not be filming as I sleep...
My relationship with sleep is often contentious. I envy my cats in that regard. But my dreams have always been very cinematic. I often reuse the same scenes for multiple dreams. Though rarely the same cast of characters. My dreams often have beginnings, middles and ends. Life is surreal enough without nightmares becoming real...
I wouldn't recommend it. It could be a bit of a shock if you decided to review The Book of Erotic Fantasy completely starkers. Of course, it could be a bit of a shock if you decided to review The Book fo Erotic Fantasy at all.
Good God no. I had it in PDF once, but it was one of many files I removed from my laptop. It has such wonderful STDs as Azure Balls where one's testicles turn blue, and spells such as the Cursed Orgasm and Mass Orgasmic Vibrations. Kind of like Chain Lightning.
@clackclickbang Sort of an official D&D version of FATAL? And if you haven't ever read FATAL, DON'T. But do hunt down a review on FATAL. They can be far more entertaining than the game itself.
I would love to play this, do you know where I can buy it from?

@ChiptheBlackMage I bought mine from Leisure Games.

Great review. I've heard about this before and I've put off not getting a copy for too long. Thanks for changing that!

It's a very odd little game, and I do feel there are many Brazil aspects to it. Not sure why. Just a lot of weirdness.
I've not heard of Lacuna.. I may have to seek it out.

@clackclickbang Zombies haunt my nightmares. I never enjoy them. Even though I understand they are representation of underlying issues.

@clackclickbang I actually don't own that book. I've often wondered if I should add it to my collection. I take it that you don't recommend it?

Dressing gown? Is that what you call a bath robe in England? :D
Much more sophisticated.
DirtyBriefcase 2 years ago
A dressing gown is like a thick gown with a long belt that you tie in the middle, usually worn over your nude body, underwear, or pyjamas.
God, I'm full of interesting information :o)
