Excellent. Please post more. You have a very unique style. In looking at your other videos, I'd guess that you used to play for dances back when folks would actually come and dance. I'm curious as to what region of the US you are in. Boy I miss playing for dances when folks would come.

Fiddlesmith - Thanks for asking! I live in Oregon and grew up mainly in the hills of Southern Oregon. Dad wanted me to learn to play fiddle like his uncle in the mountains of Georgia, whom I never met. Five years of stand-up violin lessons didn't do the trick, and I set it aside ... saw my first fiddle player around the age of 30. In the early 1970's we moved to WVa/VA for a few years, where I started calling dances,

quite by accident (caller was drunk and disappeared in the middle of a dance). People really danced there! Have since called many; last month I called and fiddled an authentic Oregon Territory style dance, solo, two hours. A success: hired on for a couple more. Wish I had more tunes on video... but am completely dependent on the kindness of strangers.

Why don't you check out contradances. They are thriving dance communities with great bands playing.

Superb old-time fiddling on this one. Banjo & Guitar are icing on the cake. An excellent mixture! I don't know if the video image distortion was deliberate or not. It fits well though.
