The sea level where I live has dropped some six inches or more, this can clearly be seen comparing old pictures of our local harbour with how it looks now. The harbour has a stain on the walls where the tide reaches maximum height but old photos show it was half a block higher in the forties. The area of ice at the poles is tiny compared to the pacific ocean alone, I doubt it could ever cause a aignificant rise even if it did melt.
