the v star and virago are completely different i had the two side by side and the v star looked better and styling was way better that;s why i brought the v star
the guy at the dealership said it has a small reserve tank inside the main tank and when u feal bike running out you can flip petcock to reserve tank witch will get you to next gas station . it was a 2008
color is supposed to stay the same thank goodness it is a sweet color for a sweet bike! I am not sure about the fuel injection part all I know is I can not wait for riding weather around here! the only problem I see now with it is not much room for saddle bags or storage I have to rely on the V Star 1100 Classic to help me there... only when saddle bags are put on as extra!
hell with the fuel gauge if I am at 120 miles on a full tank when started I know to refuel but I don't mind topping off whenever I can I only ran out of gas once & glad so I know how to work the reserve switch
I know alotta people might laugh but so far this yamaha 250 is my dream bike. It's a beautiful little motorcycle that can cruise anywhere even the freeways and get unbeatable gas mileage. I hope they don't change the color it really sets it off nicely. I wonder Suzuki has a 250cc just like this one except it's a single cylinder with fuel injection which is more reliable?
no color plans in the works next years model is supposed to be the same black cherry (vahalla) red! I love my bike but am kinda of interested in the Kawaski Vulcan has same color scheme & I fit on it nicely!
@GranFury440 - Suzuki has two 250cc single-cylinder motorcycles. The GZ250 is a cruiser and is still carbureted. It sells for $2999. The TU250X is a standard UJM, is fuel-injected and sells for $3999. I don't know how reliable they are. Regardless, you're probably better off with the Yamaha with regards to top end as the two Suzukis will likely give out on you power-wise before the Yamaha. The Yamaha may also give better fuel mileage, but I'm unsure.
I wanna get rid of my yamaha C3 and get that! I'm short so this 27 in seat height bike would be perfect for me then I wouldn't have to be tailgated at 45 miles per hour top speed anymore.

I call mine "Gary" because of the stupid looking rear view mirrors, the look like Gary the snail eyes from Spongebob to me.
The rest of the bike is fantabulous.
