But Porsche seems to have increased their prices. $94,000 for a Carrera. A few days ago it was more like $75,000. But Audi R8's sell for $150,000...

It is stock, the power pack is an option, just as sport seat...but the X51 kit (which put the final power to 408hp) also reduces the torque band so it is a matter of choice.

Porsche is faster, lighter, more fun, less expensive (with the same equipment) and last of all, much more reliable than the R8...so you think what you want but for me, this is an evidence!!

I observed that the 911 used in this video was without PDK, it would be faster with PDK. Overall, the 911 4S comes with better fuel efficiency, faster, clever engine, fun to drive, more accommodation, charm, name, and a wider range of customization options. 911 4S is clearly the winner in my book.

PDK is only available on the facelifted 997 series, from late 2008 onwards.

An R8 drifted past me at 185mph in Provence, but for my amusement a Gallardo swiftly flashed him out the way! ...ok, I'm gutted, but a smug last laugh ;) Anyone of you Porsche doubters notice that a newly PDK equipped C2S does 60 in 4.3 and 189? ...not bad stats uh! bye bye R8 me thinks! R8 V10 you say? hello new 911 turbo gen two (Mar '09) - 60mph in 3.3 and 203mph! Mine in Jan 2010 (if the market picks up?) then an all new 2011 998! D'oh!!
