  • brett lally was a great fighter and a great person. i worked with for years. dont talk crap because u will never even get a title shot like brett did. shut up puke.

  • Oh I didn't know he died! RIP

  • Geez. RIP Brett Lally :-(

  • you didnt see jackson destroy terry norris dumb ass

  • Skgls13 ur right but I still admire his hand game. Lol

  • What Fucked Terry Up ,... and dont get me wrong , he was a great fighter..Was his Chin.. He had no Chin... And we all know the Legends all took 'em in the Chin..... He was great indeed for the breif time he boxed..

  • coodo's to brett for getting up three times and wanting to fight but terry just to powerful and skilled i remember this fight.

  • White men can't fight.

  • man a really impressive performance by terry norris

  • LALY COULD HAVE BEEN BADLY HURT HERE

  • hardhead233 is absolutely correct in his assessment of Terry Norris. Some man dont know how or when to quit.. shame

  • Terry Norris is the best fighter to represent San Diego and he was a great fighter. Not to mention he influenced Kanye West to sport a mullet. Oh yeah baby the mullet is coming back.

  • first fighters squadren, campo california!!! loved hearing that before his fights, cool ass name for their fighters

  • i helped escort Terry Norris to the ring this night! I was working security while in college! lmao

  • I trained in the same gym as he did and his trainer, Rudy Elias, was my trainer as an amateur. The wars he had at Murph's Gym are memorable!

  • i got to hang out with him a couple times at 2 amateurs shows in Calgary, Alberta. He's a cool guy. Saw him outside of a nightclub one time in his limo and gave me a ride to a hotel party with him and then to my hotel. Hes brain dead though. You can barely understand what he says. Real sad to see

  • my dad also grew up with brett lally and used to box with him. too bad he never really went anywhere. i think he is in and out of jail now.

  • Brett Lally was a bum. Everyone beat him.

  • yeah but he somehow made to the hbo main event for a title shot (i think) with vinny pazienza. he got smoked.

  • ya u are right about that.

  • yeah like i said, he is something of a family friend. my uncle used to hang out with him alot. but now i think he is just a perpetual jail bird. i havent heard from him in a while.

  • Jesus this guy could fight. I would definitely recommend to any young fighter learning to box to study this guys every move he was so fundamentally sound. A great counter puncher as well as great aggressor. It didn't hurt that he had amazing reflexes and extremely quick hands. There's no fighter that I would automatically say would destroy Terry Norris historically in boxing. Sure some fighters may have beaten him but I would give him a chance against anyone in his prime.

  • terrible berry he was called terrible 4 a reason he could box fight and any style you bring 2 him he is ready 4 u

  • amen

  • @bigsleep32 Great talent, just had a chin made of glass.

  • @bigsleep32 How about Felix Trinidad? That fight came thisclose to happening.

  • @scotthovsepian88 Everything was signed but Don King didn`t want both his fighters in the same ring. There is an article out there Terry talking about Simon Brown, Jackson, Trinidad...etc

  • @bigsleep32 I agree. Julian Jackson just kinda caught him, but Terry was rockin' Jackson for those two rounds.

  • He did all that acting tough just to get KTFO in the first round! LMBAO!!!

  • Terrible Terry Norrisssss! What a talent of speed power relentless aggression just loses focus every now and then. Those 12rds of sparring daily for every fight caught up to him, man I think he would have schooled Oscar De La Hoya if he didnt lose to Keith Mullings, he became a shot fighter from the night on to the rest of his career. Terry is a bad dude sparred with his older brother Orlin who was a cruiserweight and from what I hear they didnt let up on each other.

  • most people didnt know Terry trained everyday as if he was in a title fight...he trained at my gym in NYC Kingsway Boxing gym for Sugar Ray...his rest periods he would skip rope....like you said it caught up to him....

  • truer words never been spoken, all those rounds(am n pro) in the gym in the ring and most of all dude fought pretty frequently then most fighters of that day, he burnt out right before 30 Norris fought Julian Jackson for title just after he turned 22 and was KO brutally BUT was able to bounce back and dominate jr middleweight and become one of the best P4P fighters in boxing for several years, that to me is amzing in of itself how many times do we see young fighters get KOd and never recover

  • Norris was a baby Larry Holmes with Tyson like power would destroy Mayweather early

  • Brett Lally did not deserve to be in the same ring with Norris.

  • Terry got ice in his viens. No intimidating staredown ever unnerve him

  • I loved Terry Norris as a boxer, one of many who used use his defence for offense. Smart fighter and an all time great. Terrible Terry Norris.

  • Amen! Norris was a man who always rose to the occasion.

  • Are you by any chance Redrooster from ESB?

  • That guy's pretty famous and you're pretty smart for recognizing that I am the Redrooster.

  • Norris is an all time great. I loved the way he kicked Leonard's ass!!!!

  • If the IHOFB inducted him then he was a great fighter. I saw his career take off after he beat Joh Mugabi and he was something to watch. Granted to of his best wins were 2 Welterweights coming up to challenege but that's beside the point. Take away those Luis Santana debacles and he was a great fighter.

  • Terry Norris was a border line great figher. What year did this fight take place?

  • I used to enjoy watching him on the Chavez undercards. Those were the days when you could see Chavez, Norris, Nelson, Jackson, etc on an undercard. Norris was an exciting fighter!

  • Terry's accurate punching and punching power and boxing talent was unquestionably 1 of the 80's and mid 90's excitement...plus his chin not as weak as people think made for good fights

  • Norris is one of my favorite fighter's.
