The thing I noticed about Obama is that he doesn't care so much about looking good to liberal pundits or making deals (or not) --he cares if that lady in Wisconson's son with stomach cancer can go to a doctor this year and not die. Thats what a lot of what he called "sanctimonous liberals" don't seem to get.

I believe he wants what's in the best in the best interest of the American people. He can't do that if he's worried about being politically correct (pardon the irony). Not bad - At least Maher is starting to realize that Obama is not a liberal, not even close. But he is too forgiving. When it comes to foreign affairs Obama DOES have to deal with corporations and lobbyists. The worst ones: the military industrial complex! And in this respect he is even worse than Bush.

Obama is expanding the wars into Afghanistan and Pakistan, but because of "soaring rhetoric" and "Jimi Hendrix" speeches, no one notices this. At least with Bush, we knew he was lying to us.
