  • Well the database changes worked for me, except for the part where my 2nd top level domain does not point to the 2nd wordpress blog i created in super admin.

Both top level domains are hosted in the same server. Wonder what is wrong about my setup.

  • confusing and un-informative

  • I could not get this to work and the link to the site is dead.

  • @veganpeacelove sorry, I took my blog down... Do you know what part is breaking?

    1. make sure your A record for the domain is set to the server.

    2. create a blog normally using subdomains

    3. make a new site in the sites table for the TLD

    4. rename the new blog subdomain to the TLD in the options table and make sure the site id is for the new site made in step 3

    5. I think that is it, you might need to add site_meta for the new site, but I think it will work without.

  • None of your links work. Will you fix or just leave them not working?

  • why not addon domains?

  • @JulesClay92 Sorry for the really late reply, but I think addon sites are for 2 totally independent website. Each in a different folder, therefore they have different codebases.

  • Matt...nice video - looks complicated but it is definitely interesting! However, when you change the names of the database as you did, wouldn't you have problems with serialization?

  • Your Blog Post's doesn't seem to be redirecting properly

  • @Bettahairdaze Thanks for telling me, I thought I fixed it...

Seems to only have the issue with FF... Chrome's working fine.

    Thanks again

  • great
