I feel like the reviewer voiced his opinion too much, instead of remembering that different people like different play styles. This was honestly an amazing game, and the only reason we can't give it a 10 is because perfect games don't exist.
Skyrim or DAO is really a personal preference. DAO is more classic party-based role playing game experience and Skyrim is more sandbox feeling. But I personally choose DAO over Skyrim, because I prefer party-based tactics and role-playing game with basic mechanics.
I don't know what it is, but I could never get into this game, not sure why. Every time I boot it up I play for an hour and quit... kinda sad actually lol

This game. Is so amazing. The best I can describe it as, is it gets you involved. I was very much mentally involved. I just.. I cant even sentences. I've played it through about 6 or so times and I still cannot stop playing. Best game. I've ever played.
Does the battling get better after you leave the home land? cause I thought the story was good but was really annoyed at how battles played out... do they just stand there swinging slashing up an enemy like they are robots? I play mostly FPS so if i gotta command all these people all at once and have to pause every 10 seconds to figure out whats going on... im not looking forward to playing the rest of this game. unless that gets a hell of a lot cooler
@tymaca4321 sweet that's what I like anyways, I just would hate for poor gameplay to ruin the story's delivery that's all... But I started it up and have grown to like the style. Some of it is a bit overwhelming but isn't too bad after a short while.
Planning to get DAO Ultimate Edition for the 360, but after I finish Mass Effect 1 & 2 and Skyrim. I'm really excited about this, I love medieval stories.

I know a lot of people said that you have to forget all the glitches to like this game but the first quest in the Bleak Falls Barrow i got a glitch that made an invisible unbreakable door with the spiderweb... that was a very bad start and got 3 other in 10 hours of playtime, that's bad yeah.

why are people saying this game is 150 hours long, im 13 hours into the game and im already half way done and i have done almost all the side missions at this point, hell Gametrailers said this game was at least 60 hours long just to do the main story and yet if i had just done the main story i would have been done in a few more hours probably, don't get me wrong though this game is great i like it more than mass effect and i love mass effect
@chrismcnuggett My playthrough on nightmare as a dwarf lasted 180h. You are missing out on many hidden side quests, it has absolutely loads of content, the main story is only a fraction of it. P.S this is my favourite game of all time.

When I go to enchant a weapon (Dragon Age: Origins) Why does it says "no items to enchant"??? I have five RUNES, swords, daggers.... and it says "no items to enchant".... What should I do...?
Too anyone buying this game on console because they liked mass effect.. It's still a good game on console but it's more designed for mouse and keyboard with top view.. It's a tactical strategy RPG which like rts's and mmo's along with other games in which multitasking is needed work better and are made for pc meaning mouse n keyboard.. Nothin to do with graphics.. @uhMuzoki the fact that you can use a keyboard & mouse, much better online community, alot more game options on steam or gamersgate, framerate is alot better. you can plug it into tv, you can use it for alot more than just games, you dont have to pay for live, and if you build it yourself, it costs nearly the same for console and it has better specs.

i got both of Dragon Age and Skyrim, Skyrim has a more oh shit what have i done feeling, for this you must save game before doing anything big( like killing non aggressive npc).
But i prefer Dragon Age, less dark environment, Skyrim its always winter, or spring but much more realistic you can just sit back and just watch the environment change around you hope nothing jumps out of the bush and kills you. But they are both great, enough to make you stop playing MMORPG for long time.

If your no into medieval magic games this isn't your cup of tea. I kept falling asleep while playing this. It's not a horrible game. It's just not my brand of game.
My PC survived a fire but, it messed a lot of things up so I never got the chance to play either on PC. Just the consoles - I really enjoyed and like both games quite a bit. I can see how it's hard to get back the feel of Origin's from DA2 in some ways but, don't let anyone tell you differently. DA2 is still very much a Dragon Age game. Anyone, looking to try the series out it's best to ignore the rampant haters and look into starting with the Game of the Year type version of Origins.
torrent is a trouble maker and do not have stable source. I'd rather use steam or other download service plus they sell games cheap. the service itself is well worth the money. And also some torrents are unsafe and some are Bull****. once I torrent a movie but it ends up with an embarrassing quality and totally a waste of time, I should just go to rent it for one dollar with much better enjoyment. And All the P2P are kinda dangerous and literately illegal.
@TranscedentGrace You should be happy that some people aren't so cheap that they can't pay a few bucks for something that provides them with hours of entertainment... I don't give a shit if people torrent, that's their choice, but thank fuck some of us are paying the developers to make games while the rest of the broke ass noobs play for free :)
Great game. Must buy for any RPG player. It's not sandbox like The Elder Scrolls. It's a linear, story-focused RPG. You will love some characters, hate others. I missed Alistair after I had finished the game, what a great friend! Dragon Age II is awful though... Don't pay full price on it!

@TheHXCtaLIFE Dragon Age : Origins is a bioware RPG. Of course it is going to be good, but Bethesda and Biowares RPGs are different in subtle ways.
Skyrim isn't perfect, but the adventuring is what makes it great.

@chrismcnuggett My playthrough on nightmare as a dwarf lasted 180h. You are missing out on many hidden side quests, it has absolutely loads of content, the main story is only a fraction of it. P.S this is my favourite game of all time.

@tachikoma747 now I know the dickhead below posted ones of those 'jokes', but stop bring so stereotypical. That is only a very small minority of the fans that do that, and it's usually the ones who have only played skyrim in the elder scrolls series. I love the elder scrolls series myself, but I like other RPGs like Da:O and mass effect.

When I go to enchant a weapon (Dragon Age: Origins) Why does it says "no items to enchant"??? I have five RUNES, swords, daggers.... and it says "no items to enchant".... What should I do...?

Too anyone buying this game on console because they liked mass effect.. It's still a good game on console but it's more designed for mouse and keyboard with top view.. It's a tactical strategy RPG which like rts's and mmo's along with other games in which multitasking is needed work better and are made for pc meaning mouse n keyboard.. Nothin to do with graphics.. Don't care about graphics that much..

I bought this game on console thinking it was somthing way diferent.. I thought it was gunna be more like mass effect I loved mass effect.. I wish I got this for pc instead this is a much more tactical game made for m&kb it's weird the way they took away the top view and sold it as an action type RPG. I probably woulda payed less to if I got it for pc..

@uhMuzoki the fact that you can use a keyboard & mouse, much better online community, alot more game options on steam or gamersgate, framerate is alot better. you can plug it into tv, you can use it for alot more than just games, you dont have to pay for live, and if you build it yourself, it costs nearly the same for console and it has better specs.

i got both of Dragon Age and Skyrim, Skyrim has a more oh shit what have i done feeling, for this you must save game before doing anything big( like killing non aggressive npc).
But i prefer Dragon Age, less dark environment, Skyrim its always winter, or spring but much more realistic you can just sit back and just watch the environment change around you hope nothing jumps out of the bush and kills you. But they are both great, enough to make you stop playing MMORPG for long time.

My PC survived a fire but, it messed a lot of things up so I never got the chance to play either on PC. Just the consoles - I really enjoyed and like both games quite a bit. I can see how it's hard to get back the feel of Origin's from DA2 in some ways but, don't let anyone tell you differently. DA2 is still very much a Dragon Age game. Anyone, looking to try the series out it's best to ignore the rampant haters and look into starting with the Game of the Year type version of Origins.

torrent is a trouble maker and do not have stable source. I'd rather use steam or other download service plus they sell games cheap. the service itself is well worth the money. And also some torrents are unsafe and some are Bull****. once I torrent a movie but it ends up with an embarrassing quality and totally a waste of time, I should just go to rent it for one dollar with much better enjoyment. And All the P2P are kinda dangerous and literately illegal.

Great game. Must buy for any RPG player. It's not sandbox like The Elder Scrolls. It's a linear, story-focused RPG. You will love some characters, hate others. I missed Alistair after I had finished the game, what a great friend! Dragon Age II is awful though... Don't pay full price on it!
