@quicksiliva Actually cos may pay well above minimum wage to keep the employees that they developed a relationship with. All that minimum wage does is prevent people from being employed as it costs too much to hire them. The increase in standard of living means greater profits for companies, so the greater profits offset whatever increase in costs that there are. Hence taxation is really what causes the move to overseas as profits are eliminated by increasing taxes, not lower wages & standards.

@Aegius Just to clarify. More investment means more investment into businesses and into the economy directly as a whole. That investment deals directly w/consumer demand. Profits create wealth for investment which is then used to generate MORE profits and MORE wealth and as wealth increases, so does the standard of living. The private sector does that. Government is incapable of doing that & generally worsens standard of living w/taxes & regulations.

All that minimum wage does is prevent people from being employed as it costs too much to hire them. The increase in standard of living means greater profits for companies, so the greater profits offset whatever increase in costs that there are. Hence taxation is really what causes the move to overseas as profits are eliminated by increasing taxes, not lower wages & standards.

@Aegius Just to clarify. More investment means more investment into businesses and into the economy directly as a whole. That investment deals directly w/consumer demand. Profits create wealth for investment which is then used to generate MORE profits and MORE wealth and as wealth increases, so does the standard of living. The private sector does that. Government is incapable of doing that & generally worsens standard of living w/taxes & regulations.

@quicksiliva the housing crash didn't devalue the Dollar . actually now one can get a far better house for less money because of deflated prices the Housing crash was because people were over extended and couldn't pay their mortgage resulting in foreclosure hence creating a surplus of houses and making them more affordable to those that are not over extended and can pay their bills. @Aegius The Republican Party had Ethnic Heritage Groups and a HG council which recruited extreme far right elements to the Republican party. In 1988, the Bush Campaign fired 7 officials after it was revealed they had they Nazi and Pro-Nazi backgrounds and anti-semitic beliefs.
The HG groups and council go back to 1949 when they were used a campaign and fundraising tool for the GOP.
Bush knew about these groups as head of the GOP in the early 70's as did Nixon.
