Johnny Eck is in it, and so are some of his friends, like the "Human Torso" and the "Armless lady". It is an amazing black and white film. And every one in it is real people with real condicions. I do not think we ever captured.

Robbery happened four years before the Johnny`s death (at 80 years old). One of the robbers sat on him and broke two ribs. After that, Johnny suffered a great depression and was isolated in his house (he decided this) for the remainder of his life. He even answered the phone when friends called him, and not opened the door.

It is very sad, he does not deserve this end.

I agree with JunkyardElite, he was a very hansome man. what happened to him near the end of his life was truly terrible, and it really pulls at my heart to think how someone could do that to him. I think that unknown actors should play all parts in any future remake and it should be remade by Robert lynch who directed the elephant man - The remake should have an art house quality to it. I am sick of this bums on seats culture that hollywood use to get bums on seats. lets have some fresh blood and get some creativity back into films. Leonardo will just make the film plastic and homogenized. There are other actors HUNGRY to ACT. Bring back something worth watching. Get rid of the deadwood.

Anyways, I know sometimes can happen that a child comes to this world without pelvis or genitals (recently I heard about a case also here, in Italy), but these poor babies usually die after a few weeks, for obvious reasons.
