Crysis level editor

This isn't a level editing thing like halo reach or Far Cry. This is the actual level designing software that they use to build the game. Thats also why it cant be on consoles, because it's just way too much material and different controls for everything to be easy to grasp or understand or do on a controller. People go to college for this stuff. This is how levels are constructed, basically

The best way to learn how to use the map editor is to just look at all the file's

@av3nger3 No not exactly in this one you have to know scripting to make a good map and this makes single player and multiplayer map so no it is not the same butthe basics are the same since the engine Ubisoft used to create Far Cry 2 was a modified version of Cry Engine 2 which is used to make Crysis.

@savage495 Basic knowledge of C++ is there to give you the major boost if you want to add new AI actions or a new behaviour but all the basic stuff is just drag n drop. It's the first commercial engine to use a drag n drop scripting system apart from UDK but CryEngine 2 had it first.

@BigBadPolack That vid was specifically for showing off the engine to developers not modders or users there will be no mod compatibility between consoles. Basically PC gets the editor because we pirate if we don't get what we want and the console just has to act like a little bitch and if console users want new maps you'll have to dig into your wallets. PC owners dont take no shit but console owners are forced into the situation.

That would work on HIGH with around 25 - 30 FPS, you need a better card thats all.
