  • Great song, but why edit the two short versions together when the original 11 minute version is sublime? Nice try but I'm afraid you get a thumbs down for this. Next time why not go for 3X the short version??

  • @jgfergus

Hi, Ferguson! - This is the single-record version, out of the album "Forms and Feelings" (1968/1970); slightly replenished by me in the background. If I got an idea (in music bought and payed), I want to realize it, just for my own ears. So I did even in the passed musicassette times (which was much more difficult than nowadays). I think you know all that, and I see you as an expert too. That's why you will know that there exist some versions/takes of this electric "Sabre Dance".

  • This is a bad version of a brilliant song. If you want a rare and long version of this song, look on the double album cd (The Early Edmonds) disc 1 track 21 you will find an 11 and a half minute version. On the EMI lable CDS7967172

  • @JB007DB5

Hi! - Hey, you know quite well that THIS (my, Dhibannour's) VERSION is by far the BEST (in SOUND and concept) of all Love Sculpture "Sabre Dance" uploads here on YouTube. (Have a try and be honest before publishing statements.) - And: why should the long 11-minute version be more exciting? I love "cinema-like" sounds; so, if you really listen to my Love Sculpture "Sabre Dance" upload, you will hear (in the second half) a very slight phase-delay suggesting the wild dance-moves.

  • Yes I have the 11 and a half minute version of this song from 'Forms and Feelings'.

  • same track twice, what a dumb idea

  • @gamester57

    Hi, Gamester57!

No, it is not a dumb or dull idea (to double a music-piece sometimes)! Why?

Firstly, it is a very-very good piece of music. Secondly, this one can lead you into a kind of trance the longer the "song" lasts. Thirdly, the second half/part is slightly but cunningly modified in sound. And, last but not least, the transition is very successfully made; isn't it?

Alright ... enjoy the sound! (and perhaps also the picts). 'bye!

  • @gamester57 Yep, dumb ass - reckon he wanted to 'brag' about his extended version. And a really crap job at splicing the two together as well. Oh, and his claim the 2nd half has been modified - how, did he just turn the volume up so his speaker distorted, lol.

    Dhibannour = fail

  • @TheSkywest same comment twice, what a dumb idea

  • Have you joined 2 songs together? This is definately not the full album version that i've got

  • @nightwish1951

    Hi, Nightwish1951!

Yes, I did put this one music-piece a second time after the first time, slightly strengthened in its tone, and the now two were artificially merged (in their joining-point).

But it is the original from the record (as stated in my accompanying text); so the original is about 4:54 long.

    Good-bye!

  • @Dhibannour

You know, back in the day, I had an English import lp that had an 11 minute version on it!

  • @Dhibannour Whatever. Thanks for posting something I haven't heard in a while because it's in storage, Some people are so picky. Am going for "Summertime" next. The best version. Slainte
