Great question! She is not getting Botox to look better. Botox does not make anyone prettier or more beautiful or sexier. What Botox does is it prevent wrinkles and lines from forming or getting worse and makes people look more relaxed and happier by reducing the ability to frown. There are numerous other uses of Botox as well but the most common use is "prevention or reduction of wrinkles and lines."
Thanks very much - had a few units injected last night hope we got the depressors or I will be looking rather stern for the next few months... Also treated the lateral brow. Will let you know how it goes ! (:
Sorry I meant to clarify but ran out of room. I am a doctor and was treated by a nurse who is training me on a botox/filler course. I am trying to learn from my result which is not great; it seems she may have overlooked the depressors so hope if I get another nurse to add 2U each side I may look less heavy and treat the lateral brow as well. She did not treat frontalis. Do you have any botox 'after' pics would be v helpful. Thanks very much.
Oh ok. Thanks for the clarification. The injections into the area above the brows in order to relax the corrugator will also spread into the frontalis and will result in the brow dropping medially unless the depressor muscle below the brow is also treated. Injection site is important. To bring down the lateral brow or prevent it from looking like a spock brow, 2-3 units placed 2-3cm above the lateral brow can help. Good luck doc!
I had my glabellar region done. 2U in procerus 6U between brows (procerus or frontalis?). 3U in each inner corrugator head + 3U each outer corrugator. I now have a medial brow drop. I am wondering if I put 2U on the medial edge of the brow (as in a previous demonstration of yours) that it might target the depresors and give my medial brow a bit of a lift? Also my lateral brow kicks up (had 2U in tail of brow) not sure to correct by injecting the 'spocking brow' or target lateral frontalis?
Hi. Are you a doctor or nurse? Are you doing these injections to yourself? Who is doing these injections on you? If the frontalis has been paralyzed then the brow drops and that needs time to wear off but relaxing the depressor supercilii may help it a bit - maybe depending on the frontalis. If lateral brow gets too arched like a spock brow then 2u above the brow can help that but you should not take this as advice since I have not seen or examined you.
Good question! The dose of botox placed above each lateral eyebrow should be no more than 2 or 3 units as the brow can drop down and patients do not like that.
Why does this woman need any botox? She is very good looking as it is!
