don't know why but when you said you're so dumb for putting the air bag in front of the camera it made me laugh more than i ever thought possible whilst watching a land rover vid lol. Great recovery
Take a look at my website (bals dot be/discovery-3-self-recovery-with-air-jack) where I explain where I bought the air jack. The music is from Deadzone, the album is called Second Light. I consider using the music on the background of the video fair use.
Possibly... I didn't think about that. I do know, that if you try to lower the suspension to access height, that the car senses that it doesn't touch ground anymore, and it will automatically raise the vehicle again. If you continue re-applying the 'access height' switch, it will work, but this means you need to be with two people.
The difference between Access Height and Extended Mode is about 15cm, I think that wouldn't have been sufficient.
A Jeep? How could you pull up to the valet stand at a decent place driving a bubba mobile like that? No, only a Rover has both off road ability and class. Then again, if all you can afford is a Jeep, I guess you do not really have to worry about valet parking, do you?
on the contrary, regardless of what you drive, it all depends on the driver's ability to maneuver the car. on the other hand, props to this guy for being resourceful and getting himself out of that jam.
just get a fucking winch

No matter what tires you have, when you're with the car's belly on the ground, you need to find another solution.

Doesn't the DIII have dual exhausts? Did you cover the second exhaust with your hand or are they from seperate banks fo the engine?
Bushranger4WD 4 years ago
I covered it with a blocking code. See my website for details.

Great video, I have a DII
Where do you get such an air jack?
I like the music, who is the artist?
Are there not copywright issues with using the music?

I wonder if raising the suspension to access height would have given you enough clearance to slip in the ramp?

But I should have tried that first...

That's a good idea, will try that next time I am stuck on a ridge. Also a shame the car lowers to normal hight after 50kph.
