Your Eye needs moisture!. If it doesn't stick, it's probably too dry. Add some Solution to enhance the capillarity.
You have to pull your upper and lower lid up and down thoroughly. It only works with dry Hands. I know, it takes a while to get use to it. Just focus on what is happening on the mirror. It's just a matter of practice, and you're doing it in the blink of an eye ;)
Im startin to read alot now for school and damn, I just found out im short sighted. Putting soft lenses in the day is annoying to me so i got the hard ones that you wear to sleep and it make it feel like you got fingernails up your eyelid. Sometimes its real comfortable but sometimes, its so painful you gotta take it off in the middle of the night and cant see a thing the next day in school
thx, i got my right lens out, i had a problem with my left eye the lens is inside out and i tought it was in his place, i was hurring for class. when i got home i wanted to fix the blurry view but it wasnt on my pupil it was behind my eye and now my eye is iritated
i have been to the doctor and she said come back tomorrow if you feel something like sand in your eye or if its hurting.
the right lens i took it out within 5min, its easier to remove them.
If I get them from the eye doctor they cost $90 for a three month supply. That's three pair per box. So I shopped around and found I could get hem at Costco fpr $44 per box. half price. Works out to about $15 /month or 50 cents per day. Well worth it for the freedom from glasses. I'm getting to love them.
What brand of contacts are you trying to use? The ACCUVUE were almost impossible to get in and they are only good for two weeks. The Bausch & Lomb are much easier to get in and they are good for a month. Make sure your eylids and finger are really dry so you can HOLD them open. Don't look directly at the lens as t approaches your eye. You will feel it when it touches our eye and you will involuntarily try to blink. FORCE YOURSELF TO HOLD THE LIDS OPEN. Soon you get used to touching your eye
Make sure your finger is wet with the lens solution. Put one drop in the bowl of the lens before you try to put it on your eye. It forms kind of a suction when it makes contact and pulls it off your finger. If you are still having trouble try rolling your finger slightly after the lens is in contact with your eye. I had a hell of a hard time with the ACCUVUE lenses because they were so thin. I had the same problem. they would stick to my finger and not transfer onto my eyeball. Try B&L.
I feel for you Sparkman - Im 52 and have had presbyopia for past ten years and coped well with reader glasses fine. However now I do need distance glasses. Am going for a contacts trial this week so hope this works. I hate dependence. And hate any kinda glasses. Or do you go for Laser? I dunno .... hope you are coping better and what Id like to know is - are the contacts as god as the glasses sighwise now?
The laser vision sucks. Your choice, near or far. Not both. Then you need a pair of glasses for the one you didn't choose. They offer you "monovision" where they make one eye for close up and one for far. They say you get used to it. I dont want to be half blind both ways. I am coping better. The contacts are not as good as the glasses. The multifocals are better that no glasses. It's a little blurry close up but you can read. I'ts a little blurry far away. It's a compromise. I like them.
That was a few days after I had first started using them. It used to take me about half an hour to get them in. Now It takes me about 5 minutes to get them in. The lettering on the lenses makes you sure they are right side out. These are Bausch and Lomb. I tried the Accuvue and they were total HELL. I could only see about five to ten feet and then it was like seeing underwater. I finally settled on these Bousch & Lomb. They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks but I don't agree.
yeah well how long have you been doing it? How long did it take when you first tried? And why do you need contacts at 15. I had 20/20 vision until I was 45. I'm 53 now and this is the first set of prescription glassses and contacts I have ever tried in my life. I'm getting better at it. Now it only takes a minute or two.
