Its remarkable that Kristy never seemed to realize what an object of intense desire she was for both sexes, but that was part of her innocent charm. She actually said in a 1981 interview "I could never be a sex symbol", thinking her nose was too big, her lips too thin, etc; & this incredible modesty from a young woman blessed with one of the most radiantly beautiful faces ever seen onscreen! Ah, Kristy, if you only knew how wrong you were!

Absolutely - & in her teens, the most exquisite specimen of androgynous beauty ever, the perfect combination of girlish & boyish qualities. Her male counterpart in that regard was Noah Hathaway in the early 80s (remember Atreyu?), so androgynously pretty that he looked like he could be her kid brother (tho he hadnt a fraction of her talent). Her actual brother Jimmy strongly resembled her, but ironically seemed less boyish then she was.

I was a big fan of Kristy's while growing up. I've always admired her and enjoyed her acting and singing. Little Darlings was my absolute favorite and I never missed an episod of family.
