One of the reasons the new show blew: LACK OF THIS THEME.

- Trying to call it BEYOND TOMORROW'S MYTHBUSTERS. That last one is what lost most geeks. Because it was just revoiced when the real deal was on SBS in the same week!

@tallaussiebloke Yes, I agree with you on ALL of those facts. I don't think Beyond Tomorrow had the same crew. Sadly, I think they probably went on to do other things before B.T. came on. I used to watch Beyond 2000 every time it was on TV. Beyond Tomorrow on youtube cannot compare to the original & they feel more like advertisements. Myth Busters SUCKS: "Can an elevator cut a car in half like in the Green Hornet movie?" What a joke. BTW - Did you see the Beyond 2000 Crop Circle clip?

Amazing job! This is a great theme that has aged much better than Henry Tenenbaum. I watch him every now and then at KRON 4 here in San Francisco. Henry seems like a very nice guy, brings back all those great memories of the Discovery channel when it was a really good, compared to the poor quality redneck programming we have nowadays. Wish Henry had a more meaningful presence on TV, but guess he's happy at KRON 4 selling furniture and with his garden thing.

Beyond 2000...

Nanny state and political correctness means that kids wreak havoc and get away with it. The computer industry is controlled almost entirely by US companies like Microsoft and the hardware is made in China. TV shows are now focused on this "reality" rubbish like X Factor. We have a bit of snow and everything comes to a grinding halt. Electrical appliances are made in China and don't last more than 5 years.

That's what's REALLY happened beyond 2000 and many other bad things!

This is too cool! I LOVED this show as a kid! I remember thinking that the year 2000 was a year we'd never get to, it would always be out there way in the future. Silly me, I never did the math to figure out that I'd be only be 20 yrs old in 2000! I still remember some of the "cutting edge" inventions they featured on the show. Those were the good old days!

This was one of my favorite science shows. In the 80's, it was "Beyond Tomorrow' and hosted by it's reporters, in the 90's, it was hosted by Henry Tennebaum from KRON TV out of San Fransisco, and passed 2000, it was then just called 'Beyond'.

I also love the theme that was produced by 'Twilight Productions', so moving and energetic! So let's all Pump Up The Volumn!

i love this theme, like a bloke once said to me, not one instrument in it wasn't made useing a midi keyboard haha - i dont care!! i was about 8 or 9 when i'd record it with an audio cassette tape to listen to it back, don't know what it is but i think for an 80s kid the show and the intro was exciting heading in to the computer decade.. this remake is great but i'd love to hear something that would blow us away... wish i had talent

I remember this show and theme well, they just don't put in the effort these days, TV is dumbed down now to suit the masses.

It's funny because back in the late 80's I saw futuristic concept cars like Mitsubishi HSRII etc and thought that by that magic year 2000, it would be common to drive at 200 to 300 Km/h, now we are forced to drive slower every year with confusing and ever changing speed zones with revenue cameras to catch us off guard, driving is a pain in the butt now!

I love this show & what it stood for - technologies that could set us free! I've contacted Beyond 2000 & inquired about purchasing some episodes. They would have to transfer each episode off of 1/2" reel-to-reel video tape.

Technologies in this show should be around today, but instead they are suppressed by large companies or Gov.'s for profit and control.
