I think that the demonstration of what one of those haul trucks could potentially do to a pickup truck in its path IS necessary. That was done at a mine called the "superpit" in Kalgoorlie-Boulder in Western Australia. I know, cause I work there. It was done to show the potential damage a haul truck can do to a vehicle especially if you leave them parked places and the truck turns on a blind side.
