Can we please delete "Moldau" from the title. I'm quite certain Smetana never used the term. The correct title has been, is, and always should be "Vltava".

yes, Rafael Kubelik is a czech and his is also the student from Vaclav Talich, like Karel Ancerl and Vaclav Neumann. These four are the greatest Conductor not only ln czech and also in the world. But if you like this pieces, you sould try the other conducted from Vaclav Talich...he is absolut the best among them!

There used to be a live performance on uTube of Ma Vlast by Kubelik and the Czech Philharmonic from Japan that I think was his last. It was breathtaking. At his advanced age Kubelik worked his butt off and the orchestra nailed it. Unfortunately the videos have been removed. I tried to locate a DVD to buy but can't find it.
absolutely wonderful! i like this interpretation of smetana by kubik the most. i think, that´s the way his music was meant to be played. fantastic. it makes me cry.

absolutely wonderful! i like this interpretation of smetana by kubik the most. i think, that´s the way his music was meant to be played. fantastic. it makes me cry.
