In my personal opinion, games are defined by their gameplay, creativity, and story. Graphics ,although highly effective, are not what defines a game. I played some games with marvelous graphics and some I only saw, but most of them turned out to be total crap. So in my opinion, game developers should put more work into gameplay and story than graphics.
I freaked when I heard about Metroid. I don't get Call of Duty. I've never played ANY instalment though so... yeah... my opinion on that series is void.

No but i've seen them as well as Metroid and the Conduit but Nintendo is geared to kids for the majority of their games. It's proven in sales. Mature games don't sell well on the Wii or DS which is unfortunate. Plus 90% of their games are geared for kids or family. The PS3 has more mature games. Really though the motion controls kill the Wii for me.
Well the Wii is 50% casual 50% hardcore but the casual games have a lot more advertisements (cause you see games like wii fit on tv all the time yet I didn't see ONE advert for battalion wars 2), and besides even if nintendo have a lot of casual games there making the most money out of it :D

if its behind technology, why are the other two copying the motion control. they took a chance with the motion controls when the others wouldn't and now that it a success, looks who jumping on the wagon. i like the other systems and all that, but it annoys me when peple follow the crowd and hate the wii for stupid reasons.

actually the wii's motion sensor sucks, you need a remote to actually do it, the motion sensor is long and unstable, the ps2's eye toy is more advanced and it came out YEARS before it. look at ps3 and 360, no control, yea thats what I thought, keep dreaming nintendo fanboys

no remote, thats ur big sell, really? first of all, natal is a great idea for movies, music, the dashbord, im not saying otherwise, but for games not really, have u actually seen the deom, the girl jumping around was the only decent thing. eye toy sucked and sony didnt support it enough otherwise it would have been more successful. ps3 does have controls (and yes i agree the ps3 is gona be the best, but it copied from and is following the wii)

How the hell is Nintendo the most unprofessional video game company when one, they have sold more Wiis by far, two, they are the ONLY one of the three that actully makes games, and three, they have been at this for much longer then Sony and MS? Yeah they are cattering to younger gamers more then before, but the fact that it is putting them on top means that they are actully more professional by far.

iv been reading these last couple of comments mainly cause i was bored and wanted to defend the wii, but lets be honest here.
ps3 is the best when it comes to individual games. (meaning they have the better games, though they are far and few inbetween)
360 is better for multiplayer, expecially live, it cheeper and thats why most have this system, not cause its better (thats just a excuse to make them feel better)
wii has the franchises that will never die, and yes that is a good thing.

No but i've seen them as well as Metroid and the Conduit but Nintendo is geared to kids for the majority of their games. It's proven in sales. Mature games don't sell well on the Wii or DS which is unfortunate. Plus 90% of their games are geared for kids or family. The PS3 has more mature games. Really though the motion controls kill the Wii for me.

Well the Wii is 50% casual 50% hardcore but the casual games have a lot more advertisements (cause you see games like wii fit on tv all the time yet I didn't see ONE advert for battalion wars 2), and besides even if nintendo have a lot of casual games there making the most money out of it :D
