  • nice ride. had a question for ya. i have a F1-R 565 that i cant get tuned the way i want. Seems like i just get it tuned up and a week later its outta tune. running a carb shop carb. who did your injection? im considering making the change over. im running an aeromotive eliminator with 10an lines, im pretty sure it can make the required preasure but you would probably know more than me. thanks!

  • Sheesh people. Its a centrifugal supercharger. Not a turbo. Turbos are powered by the exhaust and superchargers by a belt. There are pros and cons to both.

  • BAD ASS car. If your going to run your supercharger like that you should get a hold of The Supercharger Store in Arizona for their gear drive set up. Gets rid of the belt completely.

  • @thsholt It's driven by a COG BELT drive.  a GATES Poly-Chain GT Carbon belt.

  • i dont understand why people who mod muscle cars never use turbos, you can get more boost, without putting any load on the engine...

  • @kkage2 they dont do it, because when your on the strip the turbo laggs on building up compression, and holds the other guy at the line longer at full rpm so his engine has a higher possibilty of failing :P

  • @kkage2 most of the time they are, and turbos put a hole in your pocket, if it had a bad surge then ur engine is fucked so u have to get a new one, and it makes em way worse on gas

  • @t3hpwnz0r58 the only reason it would have a bad surge is if you were running too much boost on a small BOV, and they are better on gas if you run it at low boost..

    If your running methanol you should inject into the plenum so it has time to evaporate and cool the charge. Water is pretty good too, but methanol just sucks up heat.

    I am running VP- Q-16 Racing Fuel with this application. it's working WELL and makes LOTS of HP's.

  • @69CRUZR F1? F2? Those are entry level superchargers, at least the F1 is. This is an F4.

  • 498 BBC dart 360's Dart Tunnel Ram, 212 injectors, FAST fuel injection, and uses Q-16 Racing Fuel but needs to get the right camshaft and larger tube headers for this blown application.

  • It's a Prochrager. A belt driven centrifugal supercharger. It should develop about 30+ pounds of boost by the final pulley change.

  • am i right in saying i can put a procharger on my standard engine? or do i NEED to adjust the compressions ratios 1st and get a bigger gasket etc? i heard that you dont need to aslong ass you dont set the boost too high.

  • @tscandal correction, its a belt driven turbo, its not a supercharger because its not powered my compressed air, but it has chararistics of a supercharger, i.e. the turbo doesent lagg unlike ragular turbos

  • Steve Morris is helping me build my F3R 139 572 BBC, Dart block w/billet caps, Callies Magnum crank, Oliver billet rods w/ARP 625's, Dart Pro 1 355 CNC heads, Diamond hard anodized pistons, Morris custom solid roller, 2000HP rated W-A intercooler, 4150 carb. Street car with mild tune 1200HP, more cam & Dom carb can go to 2000HP. Steve is the guy to talk to, very helpful.

  • We're gonna add water and ice to the intercooler and water tank and do the rest of the "shop" tuning set up like that. t'll be tuning t the TRACK time .........VERY SOON.

  • I STILL want to get a STEVE MORRIS camshaft for this Baby. A "MORRIS" Camshaft would gimme a couple hundred more potential horsepower. 30-PSI setup o it right now. TIME for TUNING!!!!

  • I'm a home built DIYer with no mechnical knowledge and I too want a Steve Morris cam. (F1C 406 SBC Camaro). Your set up is brilliant but do you think it could be streetable with the SM cam!!!
