So...do people really imagine that citizens, armed with light weapons could actually resist the military and SWAT teams that the government could use? However, I disagree with Paul on the issues of border security, illegal immigrant, and gay marriage. As Ventura said, many people illegally cross the border because economic conditions in Mexico are terrible. And frankly, I also believe that gay marriage should be legal in all 50 states. Government should stay out of marriage.

It's not the governments place to say anything on the topic, as this is a right, not a privilege. From everything I've read and seen from Mr. Paul, he agrees with that. I am, however, against illegal immigration. I'm all for someone immigrating legally, to escape their current state, but not illegally. I suppose I would feel a bit better about it with a Fair Tax system in place.
@JadedRockStar84 I am also firmly planted in illegal immigrants not being able to collect any form of social aid and our hospitals should not allow them as patients until said tax system is in place. It all boils down to the American people not having to support people that shouldn't be here anyway. I'm a Spanish speaking white dude living in Honduras, so don't think it's a race issue. I came to this country legally and have to pay more than the locals for everything imaginable.

Just an example of him saying the federal government needs to be reeled back in a little (read: a lot).

However, I disagree with Paul on the issues of border security, illegal immigrant, and gay marriage. As Ventura said, many people illegally cross the border because economic conditions in Mexico are terrible. And frankly, I also believe that gay marriage should be legal in all 50 states. Government should stay out of marriage.

I suppose I would feel a bit better about it with a Fair Tax system in place.

Just an example of him saying the federal government needs to be reeled back in a little (read: a lot).
