@NewWendyCann I believe Warney is in that clip. I can tell his face from a mile away. It would've had to have been very early in Warne's career I think.
I'm aware this is a Jackie Wilson cover, but the bass intro sounds like a slight variation on The Jam's 'Town Called Malice' (which in turn is a rip of The Supreme's 'You Can't Hurry Love').
In any case, I never realised balloon boy's dad had a music career in the early '90s! (...would hardly suprise me though).
incase you didnt realise that boofhead is an Aussie icon! and may i remind you that the idiot that created the whole ridiculus balloon boy debarcal was an american! please dont compare the ledgendary Jimmy Barnes to a typical sick in the head greedy yank!
I think you`ll find Jimmy Barnes originally sang this in the 60s, but it was ripped off by a few Motown artists. He made this video to prove it`s HIS song. Go into a pub and ask anyone.
@carntspell Jimmy Barnes wasnt old enough to sing when this song was first released in the 60's.Its a Jackie Wilson song.Aheap of people have coveredit including Rod Stewart and Rita Coolidge who had a big hit with it in the 70's. Its not JB song but he does a great job of it.
Im almost certain it is Warney, I think this video must of been made for Jimmy's Greatest Hits album in 1996 because Warney def didnt look like that in 91/92 when the song came out.
You bloody legend, about time I found this! Stop me if I`m wrong but did I see Warney and Punter in that video? Not to mention the always nice on the eyes Wendy Matthews?? Anyways, ta.
Cheers - in early 2000's a mate taped a foxtel type doco for me but forgot he had. He was shifting house and having a spring clean and found it. Has many JB videos...all of which one can readily see but I was surprised to see this as I had only ever seen snippets. Also is 'I Gotcha'..which I think I will put up.
Oz Rock Royalty - yeah he is. He's a big boy. They both are. Because they're the best.

With that much denim and so many wayfarers it's either early-mid 90s or yesterday in Surry Hills.
