  • @oscarfish48 ok so i spend too much time on youtube because i replied to your heartless comment? you really ran out of things to say didn't you...and ok, so your first thought was to get her to the vet, and they announced her dead, and all you thought of doing at that moment is going on youtube and see if you have new comments on your video. and no you didn't offend me, you disgusted me.

  • @cuteraz18 No, those weren't my thoughts at all. You can pretend they were all you like if it makes you feel good though :)

I'm sorry I disgusted you, that wasn't my intention at all.

  • @deysemerollin it looks like a Shiba inu :)

  • @deysemerollin a shiba inu

  • Thumbs Up If you Also Smile With the DOG ^_^

  • my dog does this but actually its not "smiling" this means he is some sort of begging and on this case he is begging to be out of the chain

  • 0:13 lawl face lol i love dogs

  • How can anyone dislike this?

  • Now that's a friendly dog. :)

  • @oscarfish48 horribly sad, i feel for you friend.

  • AWW :D

  • japanese dogs are cute, sweet and loyal

  • It's as if he/ she learned how humans smile and figured that was a neat way to "communicate" with its owner. (: Shiba's are so cute lol

  • =( My Dog smiles too!! But sadly she got frighten by thunder and ran away

    T_____T

  • @oscarfish48 so sorry to hear that..

  • i aint event mad

  • Awwwww im smiling tooo.

  • LOL!! Too funny... downright adorable!! :-)

  • Oh my gosh! Poor dog. You can see he is dying to get attention. Now, why would you tie a dog in a chain? You never ever do that! Please let him run around freely.. I feel so sad seeing this... This is animal abuse

  • @infinitylove1111 I keep my dog on a chain... So she wont get run over going to visit the neighbor's dogs

There are also people who don't like dogs, and will work to get the spca to take your dog away if you let it run free.

  • I seen a dog lie dead on the roadside, I assume that a car ran it over, the leg was horribly mutilated, with the bugs and all, my friend and I assumed that it died overnight. Then we bring it over a nearby field and buried it in an unmarked grave. Now a new estate was built right over it......

  • @oscarfish48 let it run free with your supervision, if you don't have time to care of her don't have any dog, that's animal abuse, seriously it's about its happines not yours, im sorry if I sound rude but it's the true. Let it inside your house , but if you really dont have time to take care of it just leave it to another person who has.

  • @MissRenesmeePretty She was outside to do her business, I was outside with her. We turned our backs to work on the foundation on our house, and she went after a squirrel, she then saw a vehicle and because she was so fearless she stood on the road and barked at it, the vehicle drive stopped and so did the barking, so I didn't know my dog was there thanks to the bushes.

  • @oscarfish48 The driver didn't have 5 extra minutes so he began driving again and it was then that I saw my dog trying to escape from under it. she dove to the right and the car struck her stomach. I understand your not trying to be rude, but she also would go crazy if we kept her in the house. Because she was a Jack Russel, you couldn't train her to back down and come home. Don't tell me I was abusing her.

  • @oscarfish48 actually she dove to the left trying to escape XP

    My memory is going silly!

  • @infinitylove1111

keeping a dog on a leash is not animal abuse, it protects the dog from himself and protects others. The dog is clearly on a work site as well.

  • @infinitylove1111 in some places it is safer for the dog to be leased

  • @infinitylove1111 if you look closely your channel is not available

  • @infinitylove1111 Same here with other replies you already got. My Dachshund was run over by a car because he ran free through the opening of our gate and right onto the street, not on leash.

  • @infinitylove1111 actually our neighbr across the street had a hunting dog that they felt should "run free" with a 12 ft rope attached to it, after terrorizing the neighborhood children, breaking my mom's finger and attacking our other neighbors pregnant pomeranian, it got hit by a passing car. yea, that totally animal abuse keeping it restrained.

  • @infinitylove1111 My previous dog broke through ropes, twine, and has broken off (or worn off to the point of breaking it) chained leashes because he got so excited when we had visitors, and he was just a smaller collie/shepherd mix. He also almost got hit by cars so it was for his own safety. I'd say making sure your dog doesn't get killed by his own ignorance is much less cruel than negligence.

  • @infinitylove1111 Also my pup was very happy, lived to be well over 16 (in, uh, "human years"). He had plenty of freedom and love from us, but he needed to be chained down (and my old property couldn't maintain a fenced area).

  • Lol it looks like he is looking into the sun. Lol I would like to tell a joke just so the dog can smile that would be hilarious

  • i want one i want one i want one. NO, I WANT 2, TWO!!!!

  • @someguy306 his ears are shaking cuz he was smiling for too long, just like when humans cheeks become shaky for smiling too long

  • @ayemjake LOl I noticed that too :D hahaha poor doggie smiling for too long, I can't even do that

  • thumbs up if u came here when u where looking at "smile dog" creepy pasta :P

  • Oh my goodness, that dog is so cute!

  • dog looks like he had too much pickels!

  • @someguy306 I own a Shiba Inu just like this one. When my kids come home from school or grandma comes over this is what he does. We call it 'airplane ears'! And this dog is VERY HAPPY!

  • @contrerasjade Is it a Shiba or a Jindo? It looks almost like a Jindo from it's size and slightingly different facial characteristics. Then again I could be wrong because this is a video. And I understand that this is a Japanese video but that still doesn't disapprove the fact that Jindos are not available in Japan.

  • in Tokyo japan Dog smiles at you

  • @someguy306 ummm..... he is wiggling his tail. Hes obviously trained to do a "smile" trick. U dont know dog body language.

  • Sure as hell better than SmileDog. *shudder*

  • so sweet :X

  • Very cute : )

  • @oscarfish48 you're right...plus he's shaking his tail ...that's another sign he is happy ^_^

  • Cute :D

  • cuteee

  • i smile when I'm scared, it's natural.

    I'm kidding.

  • hehe cute

  • awwwww so cute

  • ^_^

  • No he is not scared! A happy dog will put their ears back, and wag its tail. My rottweiler looks something like that when he is happy (but without the creepy smile^^) And he lowers his ears and head and wag his tail 'til his whole butt is waging x). A scared dog will lower its head much more AND its whole body, plus, the tail would be in between its legs.

  • he's not smiling.....his farts just hurt

  • @oscarfish48 Happened just the same to my stray dog, poor ol' fellah. And I absolutely LOVE him, but we'll.. he's got baggage, I guess. I still love him, though :)

  • am i the only one who thinks hes crapping

  • mu friend use to have a doberman and she use to show her teeth meaning she was smiling but even before I was terrified of her but she was my friends favorite dog but the poor girl got old ):

  • i honestly dont think he's scared. ._. or has been abused.

There could be multiple reasons for a short chain.

  • shiba inu tend to make that expression when they are happy. this isn't the first video of a smiling shiba i have seen.

  • That's EXACTLY like my dog Zoey!!! :)

  • Im pretty sure thats how all shiba inus are... My friend had one that was the sweetest dog ever and always smiled, but not as hard as this dog

  • Poor doggy doesn't deserve to be chained up like that. I would love the hell out of that dog.

  • this dog is happy, get over it, next video !

  • Guys, will we ever really know whether the dog was happy or nervous? Unless we know the dogs history and how it's owner(s) have treated it and it's personality, we probably wont. So, there's little point arguing.

  • awwwww!!is so cute <3333

  • awwwww!!is so cute <3333

  • @someguy306 fail...

  • @someguy306 Yeah I agree. I wouldn't be too happy with that stupid chain around my neck either

  • I've had the goofiest grin on my face and I didn't even know it..

  • @oscarfish48 So true.. my Akita actually does the same things an she's EXTREMELY friendly.. her ears go flat and she smiles and her tail spins round like a fan xD It's not fear at all

  • @someguy306 wrong. all akita's lower their ears and "grin" when theyre excited. Mine does the same thing

  • I used to smiling like that too... then I took an arrow in the knee.

  • @0nknees I used to be upset with the amount of skyrim jokes on here... then i took an arrow in the knee.

  • @someguy306 If the dog was scared, it wouldn't be wagging its tail.

  • @DeadOmega "If the dog was scared, it wouldn't be wagging its tail. "

Dogs will wag their tails for multiple reasons. Excitement, fear, uncertainty, nervousness. It depends on context.

  • @someguy306 then why is his tail wagging that much?? does it mean that when dogs waggle their tails they are scared???

  • honestly .. the dog is closing its eyes because the sunlight is shining on its face ..

  • @someguy306 looks pretty happy to me, seems like its at a public area and hes not scared he is straight up smiling!

  • @someguy306

My dog shakes when she's scared or when shes excited.

  • i ain't even mad

  • People saying it's scared. Notice it's not trying to run away from the owner or anything, it's just standing there. Also, when my dog is excited he lays his ears back like that! It can mean a lot of things when they lay their ears back, not just scared.

  • @wowdirtsA I agree! I think if he was scared he would try to run away OR show signs of tension(as if he were prepared to defend himself) I don't see either of that!

  • @someguy306 Shiba Inus flatten their ears naturally. Take a look at other Shiba videos, you will see it's very common.

  • That dog looks like Keaton from Zelda.

  • this dog is terrified.....

  • i doubt it..the dog would cower if it was truly scared

  • maybe its the chain

  • give him sow sunglasses heal me the deal with it dog

  • Ahh yes, the smile of a successful hidden fart

  • this dogs face is so hilarious he cracks me up .

  • He looks like a fox

  • So yeah, Happy Cat, meet Happy Dog! ^_^

  • That is so adorable!! I never see dogs smile!

  • The dog is not happy, he is scared, his owner must beat him alot, that's the expression dogs make when they're scared. Thumbs up if you're smart enough to tell.

  • @PS3Original Yeah! that will get him smiling!

  • @oscarfish48 Classic case of anthropomorphism.. dogs don't smile, its unnatural to them. It's us humans who see "smiling" and then we think its happy.

  • @PS3Original not really. my dog 'smile' like that all the time, especially if i'm petting her. she's does this when she's happy.

  • @PS3Original accualy no. he's wagging his tail so . he actualy is grinning

  • @PS3Original No this is how a shiba inu smiles. They are known for trying to escape to chase things so its safer to keep them tied up then to lose them

  • @danielle86uk It's not a purebred Shiba Inu...their tails curl up. This is a weakly bred Shiba at best...beautiful dog, but not the adequate bloodline to be labeled a Shiba Inu. I would know because mine is show quality =) They aren't known for escaping, they are known for being more intelligent, on average, than their owners. They are actually one of the most difficult breeds to train because of what they are truly known for: their independent personality. It's like having a real human. :D

  • @danielle86uk Not a purebred Shiba Inu, it has been weakly bred. The Shiba's that are bred correctly and have a better bloodline have tails that curl. They aren't known for escaping to chase things, that's too simplistic for this breed. In a way, you insult their intelligence. They are known for independent personalities and being more intelligent (on average) than their owners. I know because I have a show-bred Shiba and she's a handful :)

  • @PS3Original that was the MOST RIDICULOUS thing I've ever read. So, beaten up dogs usually shake their tail and smile?

    LOL LOL LOL

  • @eabn87 He is right. That's how a dog looks when its expecting to get hit on the head. I work at an animal shelter and dogs that were previously abused all make similar faces when you hover your hand about their heads. This dog is not happy at all. And I hope you realize that human facial expressions are not transferrable to those of dogs.

  • @eabn87 No, it's true. Sometimes I will almost whack my dog when she tries to jump on the counter (I don't hit her, I stop before), and she makes a face like that.

  • @eabn87 if you look closesly the dog starts shaking when the person comes up, hes scared of people

  • @PS3Original Actually, loads of nervous or overly excited dogs do this. It doesn't mean he gets beaten. He may just have a nervous disposition... or he's excited.

Thumbs up if you actually KNOW about dogs and how they act.

  • @PS3Original My parent's dog does that, too. When she "smiles" it's usually because she's nervous about something. However, she has seen no abuse whatsoever in her life. Heck, she's afraid of cell phones. Some dogs are just like that.

  • @PS3Original I do kind of agree with you, a stray I had did that. :( Who knows.

  • @PS3Original I cannot believe how many people are telling you that you are wrong. This dog is NOT smiling. Dogs don't smile. The tail wagging and the face are essentially saying: "I'm sorry for whatever you are pissed about, please don't hurt me."

I cannot believe how stupid people can be and still think their are experts.

  • @billybobbobertson If you think a wagging tail is synonymous with a beating you are an idiot. If I give my dog a treat, play with it, or take it for a walk, it wags its tail. So is the treat beating my dog from the inside?

  • @PS3Original I will say that it doesn't mean the dog is abused. I adore my dogs and would never harm them, but I have 2 (not Shiba Inu's so it's not a "genetic disorder" as people say) that will do this if they think they are in trouble. Still bothers me that so many people think that a frightened dog is "cute".

  • @PS3Original its funny. when ever i beat my kids, they always cry. never smile. i should beat them more so they smile!
