Again, good work Collateralnews... you have successfully created an obviously biased, single-minded, work of art... some like to call it propaganda ; )

This is" great" stuff... from more ignorant people who THINK they know what they are talking about.I mean I get it.. no one wants to see other people killing people. 'But STOP PICKING ON ISRAEL!!! It's all bullshit. All of this.
Go ahead.. tear me to pieces with your "facts" about how Israel is all fucked up... That is all any anti-israeli supporter can do. Nothing but destroy, slander, and hate.
I've been there, GeigerSpeed. In person. Plenty of israeli citizens understood that their country had a racist policy toward the Palestinians. Things have only gotten worse since.
Yeah, I've been there too. It's not racism. It's realism. Palestinians used to be Israeli citizens until the first Intifada. Then Israel got smart and said, "hey, we don't want our civilians blown up," so they took drastic security measures.
By the way, if Israel really wants to kill the Palestinians, as you say, why did they put up a giant wall to keep the Palestinians away from its own civilians? That looks like self defense to me.
Really? Where have you been? What Israeli citiznes have you spoken to?
I am an Israeli, form israel (wait maybe I shouldn't have mentioned that because everyone is going to call me a nazi pig who drinks the blood of muslim babys), and NO one agrees with your statement.
The only thing that has gotten worse, is the palestinians not sticking up for them selves and letting an extremist terrorist organization take over. I hope you approve of children's shows where Mickey Mouse brain washes kids about how they should murder jews and anyone against Hamas and who support Israel. Ya, blowing yourself up is great.
And no, they are not responses to Israeli domination. Israelis and Arabs lived side by side until the Arabs decided to attack their Jewish neighbors! The intifadas, for example!
And you're right, they don't come from nowhere. Their radical leaders (that they elected) chide them on, while Iran supplies them with the necessary weapons to commit murder. These are not freedom fighters, they are terrorists who continue to fight for a cause that Israel offered to solve through peace, treaties, etc...
Why do the Palestinians have the right to attack civilians through suicide bombings, shootings, and rockets? Because those are the people Hamas is targeting! Towns filled with CIVILIANS! By your logic, you must also believe that Israel has the right to kill Gazan civilians, because a portion of them attack Israel through violent means. I know I definitely do not believe that. In fact, I deplore Israel's use of violence in dense areas, but I do believe it is necessary to stop the bombings.
The mind boggles, honestly. Israel is in violation of international law EVERY DAY IT REMAINS IN CONTROL OF GAZA. THEY are the aggressors. THEY conduct the invasions. This is not in dispute among reasonable, knowledgeable people, lamjester.
No one is in favor of civilians getting injured. But one side has a claim to self-defense, when the other just doesn't.
Wait. Back up. You mean Israel has a right to self defense right? Because Hamas is firing rockets at their civilians... right? And, once again, Israel dismantled all settlements and pulled out all its troops from Gaza in 2005. The rockets coming from Gaza made Israel's presence there necessary. The difference is, Hamas fires rockets at civilians, while Israel attacks these Hamas terrorists trying to limit loss of civilian life as much as possible.
You put all the blame on Israel while not blaming the Palestinians for any of the problems they themselves created.
Israel is NOT occupying their land. When Jews came to Israel after the Holocaust, there were already Jews living in Israel. The new Jews, also paid for the land they bought. When the Palestinians and 4 other Arab nations attacked Israel, Israel won and took spoils of war (land). To try and make peace (again), they even gave a large portion of the land, they fairly won, BACK!
"Israel is NOT occupying their land. When Jews came to Israel after the Holocaust, there were already Jews living in Israel. The new Jews, also paid for the land they bought. When the Palestinians and 4 other Arab nations attacked Israel, Israel won and took spoils of war (land)."
You apparently have no understanding of the actual history. Ever heard of Deir Yassin?
Israel has offered peace so many times, and every time with newer, more fair terms, that it is quite difficult for me to believe your statement that Israel will never make peace. In fact, it was the Palestinians who started the intifada, not the Israelis.
And you answer that for me. Why would Hamas get elected? They had never gotten elected before, it had always been the moderate Fatah! Now, when Israel gives back land, a radical terrorist group is elected?
Finally: while I do not agree with Hamas' tactics, it must be remembered that Israel is occupying their land. The Palestinians are hopelessly outgunned, and they are subjected to inhuman conditions that the Israelis are directly responsible for. Therefore, they have the right to use any means at their disposal -ANY- to resist. That they choose suicide bombings and Qassam rockets is both horrifying and counterproductive, but they are RESPONSES to Israeli domination. They do not come from nowhere.
Also, I find your comments completely drop out relevant context. Why would Hamas get elected, lamjester? Don't you think the history of the conflict, and Israel's treatment of Gazans immediately prior had anything to do with it?
It had everything to do with, of course, but all you seem to see is 'Hamas got elected'.
lamjester, Israel only wants a cease-fire and 'peace' on Its own terms -terms which are flatly illegal and plainly unjust. The prerequisite for ANY peace talks should be complete withdrawal and the end to any blockade and other forms of economic warfare.
I think Israel would find that peace would be very easy to come by. But it will never do this, lamjester.
And if the majority of Palestinians want peace, why did they not accept the peace treaty with Israel in which Israel offered 75% of its land?
Really, I do believe that many Palestinians want peace, as do the majority, if not all, of Israel. The problem is that every time Israel has given the Palestinians an opportunity (e.g. Gaza) they have squandered it magnificently. Israel pulls out of Gaza, and they elect Hamas, a terrorist organization! If they wanted peace, that was a BAD idea.
Israel does not want peace? Tell me then, why is it always Israel that asks for peace-treaties and ceasefires? Why does Hamas never aks? Or Fatah? Or the PLO? Why was it always Arafat who broke the peace-treaties? Israel happened to break this ceasefire in order to destroy a smuggling tunnel for rockets into Gaza, and the next day, Israel was bombarded by 52, (count 'em) 52 Qassam rockets targeting its civilians.
And if the majority of Palestinians want peace, why did they elect Hamas?
Tell me, why is Israel blockading Gaza? Something to do with the rockets, perhaps?
As in, blockading the ports and airspace so more rockets don't get in and end up in Israeli towns? Besides for the fact that Israel allows in aid many times a month...
For instance, November.
Israel allowed aid into Gaza 11 times in the middle of November. Remember, Hamas also fired 135 Qassams during November among other things fired into Israeli towns (e.g. mortars).
But Israel does not want a true peace. It shows this with its escalation of hostilities during times of relative peace (like November, for instance).
I think the majority of Palestinians understand that concessions on right of return inside Israel have to be made, but why should any land concessions outside of 1967 Israel have to be made?
...(cont'd) Israel has always tried to make peace, and consistently, the Palestinian either refuse, or break these peace treaties. In fact, when the Palestinians argue for land and Israel gives it to them, nothing changes! Just look at Gaza! At one point, Israel was ready to give away 75% of its land, yet the Palestinians refused. They wanted all of it, and the Jews inside --- dead.
Until the Palestinians recognize that Israel is there to stay, there can never be peace.
And yes, unfortunately, there are going to be civilian casualties, but this is --- and always has been --- a fact of war.
And why would Israel help a foe committed to its destruction? Because at that time, they weren't firing rockets into Israel! Why did the US supply Al Qaeda with weapons to fight Russia?
As the saying goes: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend".
And Israel would love to end the blockade, as soon as Hamas stops firing rockets. Just look at the Israeli-Palestinian history...
Hamas was not firing rockets for most of recent history, Lamjester. The walling off of Gaza predates any blockade, as do the humiliating checkpoints and indiscriminant destruction of Palestinian homes and businesses.
Furthermore, Israel took all measures possible to reduce loss of civilian life in Gaza. Unfortunately, Hamas terrorists use human shields, and fire rockets into Israel from hospitals and schools --- besides for the fact that Gaza is very densely populated. Israel even drops pamphlets and calls homes in Gaza to warn them of impending strikes in their area.
The difference between Hamas and Israel is that Hamas targets civilians, while Israel targets terrorists and reduces civilian loss of life.
I see you will play word games. Israel LEFT Gaza? You mean while controlling every air, land and sea route to it? In effect, it did not 'leave'. When Israel permits a fully sovereign state to be erected, it will have left.
Israel LEFT Gaza in 2005, dismantling all settlements as the Palestinians called for "Land for Peace". Immediately after leaving, Hamas, a terrorist organization, was democratically elected, and began to fire rockets at Israeli civilians.
And yes, Hamas can't destroy Israel, but that does not mean Israel should take any of its crap, and let them indiscriminately fire rockets at civilians. At least Israel tells Gazan civilians before bombing a target.
Further, while the Israeli government may now want to overthrow Hamas, the Israeli government bears great responsibility for Hamas' rise to power. Israel offered support to Hamas for years, using it as a tool against Fatah.
Why would Israel help a foe supposedly committed to its own destruction? And why would Hamas accept that help?
Still, Hamas should not fire those rockets. But until Israel removes itself from Gaza entirely and ends the blockade, it cannot justifiably claim self-defense.
Hamas' actions show that its rhetoric should not be taken at face value. Hamas would soften its rhetoric if Israel were not occupying Gaza against international law.
Even if it were true: Hamas cannot destroy Israel, will NEVER be able to destroy Israel, and Israel is indiscriminantly killing civilians, bulldozing homes and destroying an entire society of people who are NOT Hamas. It is not justifiable.
Why would I deny that Israel wants to overthrow a government that has stated, outright, its mission is the destruction of Israel? It says so, right there in the Hamas constitution, alongside the anti-Semitic slurs taken from the Koran which state the ultimate destruction of the Jewish race. Do you deny this?
Is the Israeli government wrong in wanting to overthrow a terrorist organization that, through Qassam rockets, targets its civilians? Or do you deny that too?
Honestly, I would love to have an educated discussion with the creator of this video.
You have completely skewed the facts, quoting newspaper articles and documents completely out of context.
