Fuck off with your "different taste" shit!!! If you dont like this is because you are a piece of crap and do not know nothing about music!! PINK FLOYD rules!!!!
Pink Floyd will ALWAYS be one of my favorite bands. They were musical geniuses. They stayed true to themself and didnt sell out to what the "suits" wanted. Their sound will never be duplicated by anybody, and Im cool with that. THX guys for alot of great songs and great times.
Roger Waters has not participated in the LP Moentary Lapse of Reason. Very Good. The Final Cut would have a Part II. Disasters would be. The destination was in favor of music. Great LP, Great Song !

The sax player here is American Scott Page (who played with Supertramp as extra sax player on 1983 final tour with Roger Hodgson). Dick Parry had quit playing in the 1980s and was working as a farrier (shoeing horses). Then Dick quit the farrier gig and went back to the saxophone in 1992. He sent David Gilmour a Christmas card and DG said come audition for The Division Bell album and tour and played better than ever and returned to PF in '94 has worked with DG since PF's retirement in '05.
porque ya no salen grupos como los floyds de antaño?porque tenemos que tragarnos hoy en dia solo musica de la mas vulgar y comercial?viva el psiquedelico
Brilliant performance! This song is a very 80 ish type of song. Wouldn't have worked well on their 1994 tour. Only 'Learning To Fly', 'On The Turning Away' and 'Sorrow' "survived" the 80's. :) They did 'One Slip' once in 1994, but the sheer power of it, that was present during the Momentary Lapse Of Reason tours, were absent by then.
In fact John Helliwell of Supertramp recorded a saxophone solo for it but was scrapped for Scott Page's take as Scott hit those Lenny Pickett-type altissimo saxophone notes that John (nor even Dick Parry whom was in retirement in the 1980s) cannot ever hit as they aren't show boat sax players. Nick called Scott PF's Phantom Of The Opera as he'd come back on stage unannounced and play additional rhythm guitar (see on Delicate Sound video).
I cani della guerra! L'uomo ha contaminato con la sua presenza la bellezza di questo pianeta. Quante volte penso che la natura avrebbe fatto volentieri a meno di noi, se solo avesse potuto scegliere!
How Appropro. for these times.......Dogs and Pigs run this world presently, but soon, very soon, their MASTER is coming, and He is not happy with the way they have treated His sheep,....it will be a sight to behold when He repays them for all the pain and suffering they have caused.
It doesn't really sound like Pink Floyd before or after. I think the staff in which Roger was involved is much better. Indeed the saxophonist kicks ass.

Thank you for giving the names of the backup singers. During my 4 years of college, Pink Floyd was the only decent music that came out. David Gilmour on guitar and those fine ass backup singers. What a combo.
I dont know about you guys but for me floyd 'BREATHE' till the last days off pulse, gilmore rules and always gonna rules..., of course waters was a fucking great artist but like person... i have my doubts, maybe MONEY? thats the diference between one and other
i would not call weakness. but a straight-foward vision of what the metaphor would represent. Yes, maybe they could have thought a better way to demonstrate the dogs of war:bush and blair.
Waters owns the rights to most of The Wall (save Gilmour's tracks) and all of The Final Cut. When PF played live without him, they added testicles to the pig for the 1987/88/89 tour and the superb WARTHOGS in 1994.

Roger Waters came up with the basic riff to Money but the guitar solo section was a Gilmour creation. You probably think Peter Gabriel and Steve Hackett were Genesis.
You are irrelelvant. I am a lifelong Floyd fan. FYI, PR rehearsed Sheep for the AMLoR tour but it didn't come off too well. Roger was a great person until his ego trip went too far in 1977. My comment is relevant. People like you b*tching anbout post-Waters PF is like when I see people b*tching about Genesis after either Peter Gabriel left or Steve Hackett left.
1. Roger came up with the song Money. It is ENTIRELY credited to him. People dont get credit for a guitar solo.

When it came for the guitar solo in the live shows for 1972 to 1973 and lead to the album version, the band came up with the change to 4/4 for the guitar lead section (the ending was in 4/4 as well for the final solo). TDB tour was better in song selection than AMLoR (they swapped songs night after night).
HAHA! going to 4/4 is the weakness of this song! 7/4 is precisely what hooks you in the beginning of otherwise nothing special mainstream hit song for the radio. In fact I am afraid they went to 4/4 cause your greatest DG could not figure out how to play solo in 7/4.
