  • Marianne McCormick was my aunt. Would love to know how to get copies of these. Anyone know how?

  • It's actually just The Heathertones in this video. June Hutton can be seen in the very first second only, wearing a little hat or cap. When June was with vocal quartet The Stardusters, singing with Charlie Spivak's Orchestra, their recording of "Brother Bill" made it to #20 in the chart in the summer of 1942. The song was written by Louis Armstrong.

  • The name of the song is "Brother Bill". It was recorded also by Buddy Greco backed by these same Heathertones and other groups. It can by found on a Benny Goodman cd with Buddy but the Heathertones are not credited on "Brother Bill" but are credited on two other tunes.

  • How did you know that?

  • One of the Heathertones, Nancy Overton, is a friend of mine. She's the last surviving member of the Heathertones.

Nancy also sang in live appearances with The Chordettes including television appearances from around 1957 till they disbanded, but not on recordings.

  • Nancy Overton passed away April 5th, 2009. From left to right Marianne McCormick, Jean Swain, Bix Brent and Nancy. Jean and Nancy were sisters.

  • Friend of Nancy Overton, do you have any copies of these shows? One of the Heathertones, Marianne was my aunt and would love to trace down some of her performances.
