fantastic invention of the ancients, they last thousands of years...of course there still is weir and those guys frozen in space...too bad for the ancients that they were a race full of geeks, they had plenty of tech and yet they could not survive in pegasus galaxy...why didn't they make a weapon like the one on dakara and configure it for the wraith and they would have lived and terrans woul've been happier

@waisehell The ancients were terrible tacticians shown by their ships armed whith ONLY drones what when you run out of ammo. There is no way a ship with no ammo can survive being outnumbered. Use energy weapons to back them up you have a formidable craft. Doubth they had any organized formation in space combat either

@rainick they did have energy based weapons as seen in stargate universe on destiny which has less advanced tech than atlantis or aurora class ship...about the drones, u're completely right but they believed that the drones are very powerful and they only need a couple of them to destroy a wraith ship or any other kind of ships...in sg-1, jack destroys a ha'tak by shooting a drone from a puddle-jumper

@waisehell Yes but they took them off once they got drones ass seen in SGA The ship in SGU was built before drones. No they need more than a couple to kill wraith ships. It actually takes quite a bit. But yes they are still very powerful but they are still extremely outnumbered. It was actually a lucky shot on a hatak with shields down by hitting critical systems. and then again that is a Hatak vessel the wraith have stonger hull than the hataks did

@waisehell a device was under way called the attero device to blow up any wraith ships that go into hyper-space by interupting the hyperspace frequence they use, but the creater janus considered it to dangerous as it would have caused stargates to start exploding. also ... aren't the goa'uld more of scavangers than scientists? thus being less technologicaly advance :)

I seriously love the entire series, so many good episodes!

I wonder how a battle between a Borg cube vs a Replicator ship would fare out. It'd probably result in a battle between survivability, seeing as both are very similar but Replicators require metal to reproduce and Borg require organic material, or bodies rather.

The Lanteans have completely screwed up the story with the replicators. They should have wiped them out to the last single nanite when they visited Asurus with Aurora-class warships.

and something that youst came to me the ausurans were created to kill the wraith when the ancients were at war with them.

but it went wrong and the ancient's destroyed theyr city with ships and only a few managed to survive and replicate.

and then they hade a remorse to the ancients and wanted revenge so they became evil and in the end they were doing the task the ancients wanted all along they nearly killed all the wraith

as you can see in an episode when everybody fights the ausurans. hehe.

The Wraith managed to program the Asurans to stay on their world, but was later reprogrammed by Mckay to attack the Wraith, but it backfired as the Asurans went to attack the Wraith's food supply because it was easier than fighting them directly.

But in the end, the Asurans weren't meant to fight like they did in the series.

The Replicators that were made alot later were much closer to what the Ancients intended for the Asurans to work.

the asurans were by no means evil. the pegasus ancients (note pegasus ancients because the milky way ones were ok) were the evil ones for mass-murdering the sentient asurans when their nanite weapons project went wrong. they were right to seek revenge.

@zzxcvb98 The Milky Way Ancients have created their share of messes as well. They allowed Anubis to ascend and didn't fully kick his slimy snakehead ass back to the lower plane. They left their technology lying around for races like the Goa'uld to find and use to enslave the entire galaxy. They are just as guilty as the Lanteans (Pegasus Ancients) imo.

that created her. and he made a mistake to create her to emosional.

Her father was an Ancient. And she was not too emotional, she was simply bored when she built replicator's and in basic act of self-preservation programmed them to make more of themselves and protect each others when the local culture turned on her in fear of her creations.

the ausurans were created by the ancients in the pegasus galaxy.

and the replicators were created in the milky way by a woman that was not an ancient. youst to say PLEASE RESPOND TO MY COMMENT.

But their both Replicators. Mckay said it quite clearly himself. And you got to remember that during one of SG-1's later seasons (6 I think). The Replicators created Human shaped Replicators with nanites, just like the Asurans mostly do. And their methods of scanning Human minds are identical.

sg 1 visited a planet that was the home planet of the replicators.

and they were created by the android/robot woman.

and she could controll metall.

so she created her toys the replicators that first started as robot bugs.

and bla bla bla.

she was shot bla bla bla.

and the ausurans were created by the ancient with a totaly diffrent purpose and design.

But the android was built much later after the Asurans, most likely by one of the Ancients that returned from the Pegasus galaxy. And the android along the way learnt how to create the same Replicators, but with a different and far more basic programming.
