Also, to add to the "modern music compared to Zeppelin" argument, there are some great unsigned and unknown bands out there, the only reason that we don't hear about them is because the music world these days is smothered with attractive girl singers and 20-something baby-faced boy bands(No offence, thats just my opinion). Good bands are hard to find these days but are often worth looking for.

alot of hip-hop artists from back in the early 70's and the 80's used rock records to come up with their beats, which would essentially make them rockers aswell and the hip-hop and rock genre kinda like distant cousins.
anyway, alot of the rock and metal music from current bands lack meaning and soul in their songs too.

He doesn't need the money nor the popularity. He's considered a rock God (and rightfully so). Zeppelin's music will be played long after we're all dead and gone.

F, IF, IF a tour is announced, or even a select number of gigs are announced now or in the future, i'll be estatic because they've taking this time to think about it and decided it was right. They've each got to be feeling the music and the magic in their hearts equally in order to come back together as Led Zeppelin.

Actually, the beatles have sold over 1 billion albums while LZ have sold about 300 million. Don't get me wrong, i don't prefer one over the other, because both were divers, but The Beatles did sell more albums. Led zeppelin sold out more crowds live though. That or their largest crowd topped the Beatles largset crowd. Don't pit Led Zeppelin against the Beatles though people. They are the 2 best bands ever, but neither is better than the other. Just praise them both for how awesome they are.

yes Zeppelin does need Robert Plant... but Jimmy Page is saying that they won't tour as Led Zeppelin and it would be a whole different band... I still think Robert should just tour with the rest of the band

@666Pottichen666 They're not using the name Led Zeppelin, though. I think that we'll see a full reunion soon. They've gotten offers with HUGE CASH and it seems everytime something like that comes up, Robert Plant hits the road and does Zeppelin songs for half his set. I just saw him tonight and half his set was Zeppelin material. I think it's coming.

Why are people so bothered about how he looks? Who cares? Personally i believe that his heart is in the music, that's why he's obviously reserved about doing a Zeppelin tour because he doesn't want to destroy, for want of a better word, the memory of Zeppelin.......that was such a mystical and magical time for both the fans and band members and so to ruin that would be dreadful.

I think that the fact that he is debating with himself over whether or not to do a tour shows that he isn't in it for the money, If he/they were in it for the money, they'd be touring already everywhere and anywhere for no real reason.

That's just genuinely what I believe is the situation. The last thing I want is for Zeppelin to reform for a tour and they and the fans end up cringing over it. If they are each in a good place with regards to the music,performance etc then great....

I can't believe some people nowadays would prefer the man doing Stairway to Heaven again and again and again instead of enjoying his flawlessly inspired work of recent years. Dreamland, Mighty Rearranger and Raising Sand are testament to his reputation. He's Robert Plant and not an ageing clown like Coverdale or Tyler or whoever. Some "fans" obviously don't get that today he's simply being true to the very attitude and integrity which have kept the Zeppelin hovering way above any competition.

no actually it wasnt plant that threw a tv out the window at all..it was a hotel worker. led zep trashed the rooms up and when they were leaving a clerk at the hotel said 'man i wish i was a musican. iv always wanted to throw a tv out the window' and plant put $2k on the counter and said 'have one on us'

Actually, the beatles have sold over 1 billion albums while LZ have sold about 300 million. Don't get me wrong, i don't prefer one over the other, because both were divers, but The Beatles did sell more albums. Led zeppelin sold out more crowds live though. That or their largest crowd topped the Beatles largset crowd. Don't pit Led Zeppelin against the Beatles though people. They are the 2 best bands ever, but neither is better than the other. Just praise them both for how awesome they are.
