Here's a thought...to avoid those "umms" as well as making eye contact with the camera, try working from a script and actually rehearse it ahead of time instead of just reading from whatever happens to be in your lap. Or if you don't have time to rehearse, try setting up one of those monitors next to the camera as a teleprompter.

I'd also suggest using a consistent frame rate...maybe 30 fps so your video isn't so choppy...talk about distracting!

Some good tips...although I'm not so sure on some of the other... a tip from me (novide) is dont try to use complex video editing software unless you know how to...in my expirience it will more than likely fail. Speaking of editing, if anyone would care to watch my BBall video and comment on how to improve editing I'd appreciate it. Peace out!
